Oil question30 Aug 2004 00:26 GMT17
I just bought a 2005 S Type 4.2 on Friday.  I asked the service department
if I could use Mobil One and they said no  - Jaguar does not recommend the
high performance synthetic oils available on the market.    Is Jaguar out of
their minds?!?!?!?!   I don't want to do dinosaur oil if ...

How do I cure failure code FUEL 13?29 Aug 2004 04:11 GMT7
I have a 1994 Daimler Double Six (based on an XJ40) which has recently

and local runs) it is fine, but when you are decelarating from motorway
speeds it all goes wrong! The speed keeps decreasing and if you ...

You may remember my earlier posts where my MK2 was fouling plugs within

ADVANCED by 20 or 30 degrees i.e. the bottom timing chain has gone backwards
by a couple of teeth.  Short of running the car down a hill ...

XJ6 rattle25 Aug 2004 22:17 GMT4
What is the disconcerting rattle that manifests itself when I shut a door on
the series II xj6? It emanates from the fuel tank area. I noticed this sound
on other xj's, but it wasn't a problem on my series III. Am I about to drop
a tank?

How big a problem is Nikasil?24 Aug 2004 14:42 GMT3
I know the subject of Nikasil has been discussed ad nauseum but --
I'm considering a 1998 XJR with about 76,000 miles on it.  Supposedly
no rough idle (I haven't actually seen it yet).  Before forking my
cash over, should I:
XKR How do I Program Garage Door Opener?????23 Aug 2004 06:57 GMT4
I just bought a used XKR with more books than I've ever seen with a car.

it a gray or dull silver.  Did it vary by year?  Need info for late 67
Series II Wood22 Aug 2004 18:34 GMT3
I have explored the pricing of the new wood facia package which comes to
about $500 US. I find this amount to be repugnant and I am harkening back to
my woodworking days. So....... who has done this little job? How is the
panel removed? Once I have it removed, stripping and ...
