Does using this button put more wear and tear on the engine and
transmission?

XJS Sills16 Sep 2004 04:12 GMT1
Heres a poser for you.
I cant get hold of any outer sills for an XJS apart from ?168 +Vat from Jag
themselves, and I'm not paying that sort of price out of principle.
How different is the XJ6 sill, and has anyone ever patterned an XJS sill
88 XJ-40 VDP Value?15 Sep 2004 17:50 GMT5
Thinking about just selling my Jag now that the transmission is shot.
Just curious as to what the value of it may be, just as it sits, needing
a transmission rebuild (or replacement)? Everything works on it, runs,
handles  and rides great (when the trans, was pulling!), have ...

I was looking at a 1992 Jaguar XJ6/40 with 32,000 miles.
The owner is not the original owner. But manual shows all service

I have a 1990, XJ40 with a bit over 110,000 miles on it.

The Mk2 that won't go now goes like a train13 Sep 2004 23:49 GMT2
Er... no steam but...  Ran the lovely Bodecia (my 3.4L Mark 2) a hundred
miles down the coast yesterday and she ran so sweetly I'm still abuzz.  Had
the usual fun showing a rice burner doof doof (who still hasn't worked out
which is the front of his hat yet) how to take a  corner at ...

The Punishment from God - the Mark 2  Jaguar10 Sep 2004 12:41 GMT4
Not really.  Just thought people might be interested in the further tales of
the "Mark 2 won't go" saga.  As  I said before, the bottom timing chain had
jumped a couple of teeth.  Well, I finally fired the beast up this afternoon
after replacing the timing chain (chain tensioner was ...
