XJSC V12 fuel tank pressure30 Nov 2004 04:12 GMT1
Hi, I have an '86 Australian V12 XJSC, which whenever I open the petrol cap,
releases a huge amount of pressure. Open the cap (hot or cold day, full tank
or almost empty) and there is a big whoosh for a couple of seconds. A bit
embarrassing at the crowded petrol station!
X-Type steering drift28 Nov 2004 23:13 GMT1
For your information
I've been driving an X-Type 2.0 D sport for about 6 weeks.  From day 1
it's drifted left at all speeds.  I gave it 3 weeks to loosen up and
started the fix process.

I recently had the head liner replaced in my '88 XJS and in the process the
upholster damaged the plastic part that the sun visor arm goes through

Which tires for my 2003 XJ8?28 Nov 2004 17:55 GMT8
It's time to change my 225/60/16 tires on a 2003 XJ8. I'm looking for low
noise, good handling, and decent tread wear, in that order.
I've read bad reviews on Pirellis (noisy) and Michelin.
What do ya'll recommend I buy?

Jaguar Engines27 Nov 2004 17:01 GMT14
Ok, lets liven up this debate a bit !!!
When I was growing up (Not that long ago !!) a Jaguar was something that
people stopped to gather around, it was exclusive and something very
special.
1992 XJ6/40 Won't Start27 Nov 2004 06:05 GMT4
I did not drive the XJ6/40 Jag for 7 or 8 days and this morning I went
to start it but nothing happens.
The dash panel gauges do nothing when I turn the ignition key and
neither do the electronic seat belt for shoulders slide as usual when I

Top Gear23 Nov 2004 08:27 GMT3
Anyone see the S type trying to go fast around Nurburgring last night ?.
I quote Clarkson, "Its a diesel so all the power appears and then its time
to change gear"
You know my views regarding Jag engines - Only  12 cylinders will do !!!
Build Quality21 Nov 2004 23:37 GMT9
I read with interest the article on the S type regulator problem posted by
N. Haupt.
Its scandalous that a window regulator should break at all, never mind all 4
regulators.
Halfords21 Nov 2004 21:17 GMT1
Let me tell you about a recent visit to Halfords in Chelteham - the people
who think they are a car part retailer ..
Me:                (Puts a wheel cyliner on the desk) Have you got one of
these.
XJ6 bonnet21 Nov 2004 19:25 GMT1
What causes the bonnet of an XJ6 to keep popping up ?
The springy-things that clip it in place look aligned but I'll be driving
