What are the similarities/differences between the XJ6 and XJS differentials?

I'm getting a scraping noise coming from front and rear suspension. I have
recently replaced the rear suspension. What is the process of elimination I
need to go through to locate the noise.

I bought a 1989 Jaguar Soverign XJ40 about 3 months ago and the heater has
been misbehaving since I got it.
The fan works ok at all settings but only produces any heat when I have it
on the highest fan setting (def) regardless of any of the heat seattings.

Now its the festive season our lives are blighted by beggars asking for
money in the name of charity. Only tonight did someone knock on my door to
ask me for money for some good cause or other - We never actually got to
that stage of the conversation before I released the dogs.

My cat's seemed to have developed a problem.
When I do on extended drives over 4 hours long,on hot sunny days she
just stalls out like I'm out of gas,however there is still over half a
tank on board.

This news geoup does look a little sad. Nothing much going for it!

Today when I took my car for going home there was no
Oil pressure when I started. The pressure was just fine in
the morning. Fine for me is on the middle of the scale.
I think it means 4 bars or that what it reads, when OK.

I'm about to embark on a manual conversion for the AED are there any tricks
or tips I should be aware of. I've yet to get the kit but have a couple of
suppliers lined up. Is there a version to be avoided?
