My father has a 59 XK150 (American edititon). The wipers won't work

Its only the 3rd of January and I think I've got the bargain of the year.
I was at a local breakers yard today looking over an XJS and I found a 3
month old full stainless steel exhaust system (Still had the stickers on). I
bought for the princely sum of ?40.

Recently it's been difficult starting from cold. The engine has to be turned
over more than double the normal time, before it'll start and the
accelerator has to be used to keep it running above 500rpm, otherwise it'll
stall.

I was going to donate it.
But it will not pass emissions and it is beginning to 'dollar me' to
death in that area, I'm thinking of parting it out from my yard here at
my house.
