Re-hi Jaguar folks!
It's been awhile since my California "Road Trip" post. But I landed in
Orlando, FL, Yesterday morning and rented the '05 XK8 convertible. I
put on approx. 200 miles from Orlando to Ocala and back.

Has anyone in this group had a problem with the remote release of the gas
cap on a 2003 or other year X-Type? Yesterday my wife had to hold the lever
up while I used a screwdriver to open the fuel filler door. Last time I saw
this was in a '93 Tempo. BTW this is a US car. Paul

I am at the moment fighting a battle with Jaguar cars to get my 18 month old
S-type fixed. If you are thinking of buying one don't do anything without

My wife wants me to purchase for her a used (2000) Type S in Ontario,
Canada.  I read that there seem to be auto tranny problems, like when
stopped on an incline, in Drive or in Park.  There does'nt seem to be
a ready fix for this anomaly.

I have a 2000 S Type (4.0 with 60,000 Kilometers) and have a noticable
vibration from the front end. It almost feels if something is loose yet
under inspection everything is tight. The alignment has been done, Wheels
balanced, Proper inflation in Pirelli tires, shocks checked out ok ...

Can anyone help.  My 1994 4.0 XJ40 Sovereign has developed a slight
problem on starting first thing in the morning.  The starter engages,
everything is fine but the engine does not fire up until the instant I
release the key back to the on position.  It used to start after about

I have a weird problem with my XJ6 windscreen wiper.
While driving, for no apparent reason, and without warning, the
windscreen wiper will turn on completely by itself and without
touching the wiper switch. There is usually no way to turn it off - it

I have a friend with a 2003 X type 3.0 with a manual transmission. The car
has under 30K on it and it is now in the shop for its FOURTH clutch
replacement. The problem is not with the driver, he has had manual drives
all his life. The Jaguar dealer doesn't have a clue as to wjat is ...
