On the rear of my diff is a speedo drive - This is an electronic sensor with
a wire going up into the boot.
Does anyone know if this sensor serves any other purpose other than running
the speedo, for example, does it run any part of the engine management

I have a 1977 xj6 that is need of body repair and have located a  1976
that the body is in pretty good shape. As far as I know they have the
same engine but, does anyone know how campatible the body types are? I
am thinking of buting it for a parts car or using the one I have as the

i'm installing a cd changer in my 91 and found the DIN cable behind the
radio not connected to anything.
I've looked everywhere and there is no place to plug it in.
The radio has the CD buttion with the cassett button, so i believe it is

would you happen to have a manual for your x300?
I could use a scan of any parts in it that cover the switchgear and
instrumentation including warning lights and what the hell does the

We have an XJ40 4.0L 1994 Sovereign that sometimes is a bugger to start
when it is has been very damp or raining overnight.  This is first time
in the mornimg, not once the car has been started during that day.

Can anyone point out which is the relay for the powered windows on my

I have a 94 XJ6 and for a year now especially in the summer the radio, seat
adjustments and air conditioning will sometimes (more in summer) not come

Ok this is one for the books.  About 3 weeks ago the car would not start.
Checked for spark and have plenty.  I checked the fuel pump and it seemed

I own a 1998 XJ8, that has about 170,000 kms on the clock. The car had
been running perfectly until recently. I return from a long outstation
trip doing an average of about 180 kph. The day after that the car
suddenly dveloped rough idling. I sent the car to the Jaguar workshop,

Just jacked the car up to find out which half of the system was at
fault.  I video’d the slave cylinder and it was clearly moving.  I am
about to take the box off to examine the clutch.  ~~Just curious to if

Seems I recall that it was recommended to only use them in NEW
cars for some reason.
