Has anyone heard of this problem?30 Nov 2005 11:05 GMT7
Every so often (a total of five times thus far), while driving along a
certain stretch of freeway in Los Angeles (the 60 west near the Indiana
exit) my 98 XJR stops responding to the gas pedal.  The engine still
runs, the car just refuses to accelerate for about 10 seconds.  Thus I
I think they should build this...29 Nov 2005 09:14 GMT4

Whilst running fine, the oil pressure went from the normal 4 on the gauge to
0 on my 1994 4.0 sovereign suddenly after a short stop. The oil light also
came on but the oil level was fine and there seemed to plenty of oil

Over run Valves27 Nov 2005 19:18 GMT3
My 1988 XJS V12 (UK) idles far to fast, about 1400 revs.
According to my CD manual the first thing to check is the overrun valves by
blocking them both then unblocking one then the other and starting the
engine each time.
XJS Needs Help26 Nov 2005 14:03 GMT3
My 1988 XJS V12 has been off the road for a couple of years and now just
failed the MOT with a list as long as a good novel. But not to worry, she
will rise again to do what she does best (take all my money :-).
The front coil springs need replacing, My (so-called universal) coil

Questions about X-Type 19 Nov 2005 15:35 GMT5
Hi. I'm new here and have a couple of questions about the Jaguar X-Type
Sedans. I have always loved the styling of these cars and noticed that
used ones can be had in the upper teens, pricewise. However, I am 87 miles
from the nearest Jag Dealership. I have also read other owners'
Cold Starts17 Nov 2005 19:50 GMT1
I am having difficulty starting my XK8 in the morning if it is <50 degrees.  I bought it with 51k on it and now it has 63K.  I'm not sure if it needs a tune up or a new fuel filter, but once it warms up it starts fine.  I called the local Jaguar dealership and they told me to ...

Paintwork14 Nov 2005 01:13 GMT5
My car's paintwork has been damaged by parking under a leaking air
conditioning duct. The car is now covered in a hardened chalky coloured
martial , a bit like limestone.
It came off the windows OK using a stanley knife blade but I can't shift it
