The interior "button" lights stay on all the time and consequently drain the battery overnight. Does anyone know what controls this circuit?

I was looking at a friend's late model Series III XJ6 and behind the back seat where the black box resides, there is a rather hefty looking device that looks rather like a fan motor. What is it? Also there is a series of vents with flaps above the top edge of the boot

My 2000 S Type is smooth, quiet and comfortable on good roads, but when the going gets rougher due to bad pavement or whatever, I occasionally get some rattles under the dash that sound like a chirping vibration. Anyone else experience this? Any cure? Or am I stuck seeking out ...

My friend has a '68 Series 1 1/2 E Type DHC, US spec. There's a bracket welded onto the front of the firewall on the right side with two bolt holes 4" apart. He needs me to make a mounting plate to fit it and we don't know the bolt size for it.
