Nutralizing cigar odor12 Nov 2005 18:34 GMT1
I'm borrowing an '02 X-type sedan from a friend while my wife's car is in
the shop (wifey is driving mine, no manual shifts for her). My friend loves
cigars and the smell in the car is making me sick.
I sprayed an odor killer (Febreeze) on the entire interior last night and
95 XJ6 interior button lights stay on11 Nov 2005 11:18 GMT3
The interior "button" lights stay on all the time and consequently
drain the battery overnight.  Does anyone know what controls this
circuit?
An XJ6 question. What is it? 09 Nov 2005 21:38 GMT3
I was looking at a friend's late model Series III XJ6 and behind the back
seat where the black box resides, there is a rather hefty looking device
that looks rather like a fan motor.  What is it?
Also there is a series of vents with flaps above the top edge of the boot
Chirping vibration sound from under dash on rough roads09 Nov 2005 16:57 GMT1
My 2000 S Type is smooth, quiet and comfortable on good roads, but when the
going gets rougher due to bad pavement or whatever, I occasionally get some
rattles under the dash that sound like a chirping vibration.  Anyone else
experience this?  Any cure?  Or am I stuck seeking out ...
Help needed color matching my leather interior08 Nov 2005 00:39 GMT6
I recently purchased a 2000 4.0 S Type that is is fairly remarkable

wear on the driver's side seat bolster from the PO entering and exiting the
vehicle.  A common wear point on the Connolly.  I would like to ...
stuck fuel door06 Nov 2005 11:07 GMT4
I can't get the fuel door on my 1988 XJ6 to open, and of course the fuel
tank is almost empty. I've been told there is an inside release for the
door. Can anyone tell me where it is located? And what is the probable cause
for this. Actually I know what the cause is, I left it sit ...

I need help identifying a bolt size for an E-type04 Nov 2005 18:00 GMT4
My friend has a '68 Series 1 1/2 E Type DHC, US spec. There's a
bracket welded onto the front of the firewall on the right side with
two bolt holes 4" apart. He needs me to make a mounting plate to fit
it and we don't know the bolt size for it.
Saloon03 Nov 2005 08:44 GMT4
Now that I have your attention, looking into the possibility of buying
an older MK* for fun and restoration.  My single kitty needs an older
roommate.  Just looking for a project to play with.  Not anything as
expensive as a 140 or so but something classic.  Where is the first
