Jaguar's XK8 achieves what others attempt
The simplicity of its fluid lines and sensual curves grabs the eye and
accelerates the heart. This is a timeless design that will outlive us
all.
Keep your (and indy repair shops) rights to diagnostic codes28 Dec 2005 09:59 GMT2
Diagnostic codes are needed to troubleshoot problems as cars get more
complex. Unfortunately auto manufacturers take the position that
diagnostic codes are proprietary and only their dealers may have access
to codes' meanings.
Jaguar X-Type ECM Codes27 Dec 2005 19:04 GMT3
I had to call out the AA (Automobile Association) for some road-side
assistance today.
Driving along I had the ABS light come on, and then the ECM warning
light a minute or so later. The AA man plugged his analysis computer in
Intermittent Light problem26 Dec 2005 03:16 GMT6
I have a strange intermittent problem with my parking light.
I can start my car in the morning and go to work, it takes me
about 15 minutes. At all the time there is parking light and tail
light. Then if I drive again after 1 hour, 30 minuets or five minutes,
1996 XJ6 Radio Question24 Dec 2005 18:43 GMT11
I need to put in a new radio as the origional is working less then
half the time. Question is is there a wire harness adapter availaible
for Jaguar ?  Or does someone have the wire color codes as to which

Navigation DVD's for Virginia20 Dec 2005 16:15 GMT3
My wife just purchased a 2003 X-type and we are getting used to all of the
features. It has the Multi-CD changer and apparently we need a Jaguar
issued DVD (or CD?) for the navigation system. I understand this is not
inexpensive from the dealer. Anyone have the navigation files ...
XJ40 Bulb failure messages (undbelievably another thread!)18 Dec 2005 18:15 GMT7
Morning all, from Stinking Hot Australia! (not that I'm complaining)
Bulb failure messages!  There have been so many threads about this or
containing this and other stuff.  I have such a problem and thought it
might be useful to bring the info to date together once more and seek
Looking to increase X-type performance16 Dec 2005 22:21 GMT13
My wife drives a 05 X-Type 3.0 with the sport package - Black with Lt.
Grey interior. I sometimes drive this too and while the car isn't
'under powered' I wouldn't exactly say it has an abundance of power
either.
Xj40 windscreen fluid low warning16 Dec 2005 19:43 GMT2
I get this when the bottle is apparently full, so perhaps a faulty
switch.  Anyone tried replacing of repairing this? .  I also notice the
bottle underneath the wing (as seen from under and held on by a metal
strap) is huge, but the bottle to be filled (as seen from the top and as
Start Up Problems in Cold16 Dec 2005 15:08 GMT2
I just bought a 1998 XJ8 with about 70K miles on it. It is just a
beautiful car, actually my dream car, and the mechanic during
pre-purchase inspection said it had been excellently maintained. But
lately, as the season has changed and it has become colder- the engine
Second differential goes bad, shop does shoddy job16 Dec 2005 05:03 GMT29
AGH!  I am so fustrated!  I had an independant jaguar shop replace and
rebuild my differential on my 91 XJ40.  5000 miles and $2400 later it goes
bad.  Had him look at it says all he could do was knock off 3 hours of
labor.., a whopping $240!  Then had the audacity to request $20 ...
XJ40 Bulb Failure Module & door lock problems15 Dec 2005 05:48 GMT2
I am trying to make a new thread to get this stuff out of the "Second
Differential" thread. Sorry, I should have done this in the first place.
Here are the posts so far (copied from the Second Differential thread:
S-Type R Brembo Brakes Squeal14 Dec 2005 20:56 GMT5
Have an 2003 S-Type R.  Wonderful car except for one thing.  Light braking
causes a fairly loud squeal.  Dealer said it's common with Brembo brakes and
applied a compound (spray I think) which worked but for only a few days.
Anyone know of a better more permanent solution?

blower motor11 Dec 2005 23:11 GMT1
I own a 1988 XJ6, 3.6L, 6cyl. The blower motor only works on high. Would it be a relay, the switch or the blower motor?
