I have asked a similar question before, along with many other questions,
whilst deciding on which car to go for next.
Now I have decided it will be an X-Type, either the sport or the SE trim
levels, but I can't decide on the engine choice.

Hi, I have 1992 sovereign and all of a sudden my car develop an
acceleration problm when a step on the gas my car will excelerate and
radicly and it causes a popping noise coming from the intake manafold like
backfireing.

I have a 1994 Jaguar XJ6 and the alternator went bad. No problem, because I
found one in a junkyard for $60. My problem lies in the fact that I don't
know how to take the old alternator off! I've found the two bolts that
hold it on, but I cannot find a tensioner to undo so that I ...

Hiya,
The car is a '95 x300 sovereign. 114k miles
Have what originally I thought was tyre/road noise from the rear of the car.
It's a very slight whine, worst at about 60mph, no vibration at all.

my 1995 X300 3.2 XJ6 has, on the dash, a traction control fail warning
light, that lights up as normal when the car is started, so I assumed
I had traction control.
However recently the ABS warning light has been coming on

Let's see if one of you chaps has the magic answer. In my XJ40 1988,
all operation of the heating/air conditioning has ceased. The control
panel does nothing. Nothing clicks or lights up, the fanms don't fan
and the clutch doesn't. That suggests an electrical problem, you'll

I enter the 4 digit security code for my radio, ignition "on" & alternately
get the "code" or "wait" message. I have tried several times, with verbal
instructions from a local dealer. My owner's manual is lost & I am beginning
to question my ability to follow simple instructions. ...

1A-6B-5A-2B-3A-4B-6A-1B-2A-5B-4A-3B
