I have the part in hand, and in looking at my Haynes Automotive Repair

Can anyone recommend a child (forward facing, not infant) car seat that will

I've been driving a 2003 S-Type 4.2.... Just traded up to a 2006 XJ8...
Seems like a nice car, eh?  British Racing Green with nav, bluetooth,
cold weather package, and satellite radio.  I get it Monday!

My father, at age 76, decided that my Mom needed a 91 XJS....that's
it's own story.
Anyway the one he bought now needs the A/C evporator replaced. He was
quoted $2500 (US) material and labor...is that out of line for this

I am almost ready to bring my 87 XJ to a mechanic to replace
pivot bearings (there is noticable play in both rear wheels
and I can see the pivot shafts are loose).
He says this is about a 7 hour job, but could end up costing
