| Roll Cage - which metal to use | 30 Jul 2003 15:14 GMT | 8 |
I have an option to buy a roll cage made out of 1.75" mild steel. Or for about 30% more, I could get the same cage out of 2" DOM. To be honest, I'm not sure what the letters DOM even stand for. What's the difference? Is this worth the extra price?

| 97 TJ Exhaust manifold replaced | 30 Jul 2003 12:46 GMT | 2 |
My manifold was cracked when I bought the TJ last year. It wasn't too bad, so I just kept an eye on it. About two weeks ago I was checking it and one of the two downtubes was cracked nearly all the way around.

| Flaky camshaft? | 30 Jul 2003 04:30 GMT | 3 |
I'm tearing down a 1979 258. When I pulled the cam out I noticed that some of the lobes have what looks like tiny fracture marks that run with the rotation direction on the ramps up and down from the lobe. There may even have been some flaking from the sides, but as the sides of ...

Not having learned from the last time, I let my teenager take the jeep out for the weekend. I warned him that it has been overheating and not to push it too hard, but he didn't listen... and now I have found out that not once, not twice, but three different times, he let the

| Tuffy Products | 29 Jul 2003 16:58 GMT | 5 |
Hi, I'm thinking of buying a tuffy overhead locker for my TJ. I noticed they make a single box now to go with the twin box overhead. I'm 6'2" and wondering if headroom will be a problem? I'm thinking the single might be a better solution. Any comments would be appreciated.

Anyone mounted a snowboard to a TJ w/ a soft top? I am churning the internet soil looking for ways to do this, but to no avail at this point. If it was my old car, I would drop the yakima rack on the roof... I have no roof so that is not an option! :) Any of you done this? I ...
