I know TJ fuel gauge accuracy is less than perfect, but I have a problem with my gauge lately where it works about half of the time and shows E half of the time. When it fails, usually turning the jeep off and back on will fix it. It either works OK or not at all. Yesterday

i dont really know where to begin to explain the sequence of events that took place over the past couple of weeks. it started with picking up a uhaul truck in fayetteville, nc and returning it in fayetteville, nc some 14 days later.

My 1964 CJ5 has a 1/2" -5/8" diameter x approx. 6" long sheet metal tube attached vertically to the outside of each of the rear corners. These appear to be original to the jeep. Does anyone know what the intended use is for these?
