| Radiator on 86 Cherokee only secured by two bolts on top? | 31 Jan 2004 23:52 GMT | 6 |
Well, the Cherokee is now running so good that it decided last night it needed to take a leak out of it's 18 year old radiator. Hey when ya gotta go, ya gotta go... The fins between the lines are so toasted that they turn to dust when you

| Help... no elec power to my TJ | 31 Jan 2004 23:52 GMT | 7 |
I started my 97 TJ today and drove about four blocks when the dash bell rang and the CHECK GAUGES message appeared. The voltmeter was pegged at about 19 volts. So I drove the Jeep home and turned the engine off.

| cleaning jeep interior | 31 Jan 2004 21:27 GMT | 13 |
After a nearly a year riding with the top down, I've decided to put the top back up. Seems like now is a good time to clean the interior before I do so. I plan on armorall-ing the dash and seats but I need to clean them first. As you can imagine there is by now a lot of

| Wrangler Sat Radio Install | 31 Jan 2004 15:16 GMT | 9 |
I'm from Nebraska and radio stations are about as plentiful as rocks around here so I'm considering a Satellite radio for my '00 Wrangler with a hard top. I was wondering where to mount the antenna. The brochure says must be mounted on metal and I'm not real fond of the idea

| How do I Keep my brake lines cool ? | 31 Jan 2004 05:29 GMT | 11 |
I own a 1979 CJ-5 with a 401 dropped in it. It still has the stock exhaust manifolds. I don't like aftermarket headers: so they will stay ! The problem that I have is after 2-3 hours of 4 wheeling the brake lines heat-up and I lose my brakes. I had this happen while I was near a ...

| Do I buy 00 or 01 FSM? | 31 Jan 2004 04:44 GMT | 10 |
It may seem like a trivial question, but I am a bit confused. I bought my TJ last year and all documentation from the dealer and import and registration documentation indicate it to be a 01 model. However, when I do a VIN decode on the internet, it says it is a 00 model. It ...

| steering question | 31 Jan 2004 04:11 GMT | 2 |
All, Lately my '94 yj feels "loose" on the highway. It seems it wants to wander a bit when I'm driving straight (suppose it would be worse if I wasn't). Tonight I noticed that when turning the corner or into the driveway the

| OT: towing carnage video from JU posting - OMG | 30 Jan 2004 19:15 GMT | 30 |
From a posting on JU. Incredible carnage on this poor kid's car when his well-meaning but utterly clueless buddies try to tow him out of a minor snow bank. Recommend right-click and "save as" for this one...

| Reverse In 4X4? | 30 Jan 2004 17:45 GMT | 11 |
Is this a no-no? I saw recently a story about going in reverse while in 4X4. It said that you could damage your T/C. I can see 1 or 2 miles, but 10, 20, or 30 feet? Any validity to this? TIA

| Adjust YJ door striker | 30 Jan 2004 14:13 GMT | 14 |
OK - It seems that the drivers door on my son's '89 YJ requires a hefty pull to slam it shut. So instead of adjusting it (or asking me to) he has been merely pulling a little harder every day to shut it. The pull strap on the door is now broken & the door panel is beginning to pull ...
