| Just got my 4" lift kit | 14 Jan 2004 19:01 GMT | 6 |
I just received my 4" lift kit for my 83 CJ7 and noticed that the front springs are narrower than the rear. I called the guy I bought it from and he couldn't give a reason for the difference other than that the stock perches are made for those widths (front spring width is 2", rear ...

| sloshing gasoline | 14 Jan 2004 18:44 GMT | 8 |
If I have 1/4 tank or less and turn sharply, the fuel appears to slosh to one side of the tank resulting in loss of fuel (and power) for a second or two. Has anyone else noticed this? Is there a solution besides keeping the tank full?

So I get in my 84' Fiero to go to work yesterday, turn the key... nothing, headlights work but no dash lights. Oh well... go to the 01' Chevy 2500HD, it starts, but I noticed it was a little slow to turn over. Didn't think much of it, after all, I had not used it in the last two ...

| Inverted Shocks, what is the benefit? | 14 Jan 2004 08:42 GMT | 13 |
I have a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee with the Up-Country option, the factory shocks are tired and I want to replace them. I noticed they are mounted upside down and wondered what the benefit is by doing that? With my new purchase should I mount the new shocks in the same matter?

| TJ Hi-Backs | 14 Jan 2004 03:29 GMT | 2 |
I remember a few folks posting that they didn't like their TJ Hi-Back seats in their '01-and higher TJ's. I sat in one today and must say I did like it. If anyone wants to work a trade deal for some good condition '00 TJ seats, let me know....

| PING twaldron re: TJ highback seats | 14 Jan 2004 02:54 GMT | 2 |
Are you still looking to lose your hiback seats on your TJ? Did you ever find out if a pre-01 seat will fit in your TJ? I was at the Detroit auto show today and sat in a TJ Unlimited (with the TJ hibacks), and I actually like those seats better than the ones in my 2K TJ. I'm a ...

| TJ tranny swap - what's involved? | 14 Jan 2004 01:59 GMT | 6 |
Thinking I might want to swap out the AX-15 in my 97 TJ for an auto, but I'm wondering if that's practical? Besides the trans, what else will need changing? I thought possibly mounts, driveshafts, maybe even the console and brake pedal - what else?
