My Jeep just developed a vacuum leak... a high pitched squeal only at idle after it heats up. I have look and checked hoses but have not found it. I saw a friend (on another vehicle) use ether, and look for increased idle to find a leak (but never found it). Is there another ...

| 2" Suspension Lift labor $$ question | 13 Jan 2004 03:35 GMT | 6 |
Just had a quote for installing a 2" suspension lift on my 98 TJ. around $340-something for the lift, and like $800 for the labor, if they install it. Is that really high? I guess my options are to either not lift it, pay them what it costs, or just not do it at all. The reason I ...

| Stroking the 4.0 | 13 Jan 2004 03:12 GMT | 5 |
I have a 4.2 crank that has already been turned. I also have the pistons (.030 over) that were going to go into my CJ8. Question is; will the pistons that I have for the 4.2 work in a 4.0 block provided the block is bored to match the pistons?

| What's the difference between a 4" Lift and a 2 1/2" lift with 1 1/2" Shackles? | 13 Jan 2004 03:08 GMT | 11 |
What would be the difference in quality, ride, performance and just plain jeep "correctness" between these two lift configurations? Why would I want one over the other and would I still have 4" of lift in each case?

| '98 XJ Radiator Replacement | 13 Jan 2004 03:06 GMT | 4 |
I discovered over the weekend that the radiator on my wife's '98 Cherokee needs to be replaced. Nearly every place where the core is crimped around the tank has split, though only one spot is leaking so far. I wanted to ask a couple of questions:
