| Help please (AGAIN!!! #%$**) | 10 Jan 2004 20:38 GMT | 5 |
6 Cherokee 4.0 I tried starting her the other day but left her in gear. She lurched forward up onto a curb before I shut her down. Not the first time this has happened... I was really surprised when she would not turn over.

| XJ CD-Changer installation.... | 10 Jan 2004 19:17 GMT | 3 |
Hey All, Was wondering...are the metal "dividers," which close off the rear underseat area from the rear floorboard, in an XJ mind you, important, structurally speaking? Installed a 12 disc CD changer and new head

| Strong Bumpers | 10 Jan 2004 12:07 GMT | 7 |
Are any of the front or rear jeep bumpers you can buy as strong as one would be if you made it out of 1/8, or 1/4 thick 6x6 angle iron. I would like something a bullet proof as possible. Most of them in the jeep books dont seem to be made out of stock as thick as 1/8, or 1/4

| Blue smoke -- Help!! | 10 Jan 2004 12:07 GMT | 10 |
I previously had my jeep in the shop looking for the source of what I thought was ping. The shop said it wasn't and that the noise was coming from the valve train. At the same time he told me he could see blue smoke coming from the tail pipe. I couldn't see what he was talking ...

I have the CPS for a 93 Grand Cherokee in hand. It's 24 degrees out and I gotta' stick my arm up into the middle of this old girl. Does anyone know the size of the bolt holding that crank sensor to the bell housing? Thought I'd ask while I build up my courage to lay on that cold ...

| U-haul won't rent to Explorer users | 10 Jan 2004 05:14 GMT | 7 |
I saw this item in the news tonight that I thought might be of passing interest to some readers here. For some time now, U-Haul has been refusing to rent trailers to people who plan to tow them behind soft top equipped Jeeps. Now they are targeting the Ford Explorer:

I know what the thermostat would be in the thermostat housing but where exactly might I find the thermostat housing on my 82 CJ7. My heater does not blow hot air and I think it might be the thermostat. Thanks in advance,

| M100 Military Trailer | 10 Jan 2004 02:55 GMT | 19 |
I'm going to look at a M100 to pull behind my CJ7. The guys says the tires and shocks will need to be replaced. Other than that it's in ok shape. No major rust but there's a split at the front left and right corners. Also, the front panel at the top rail is split.

| Drum brake leak | 10 Jan 2004 02:14 GMT | 3 |
My 93yj with 35c rear axle and drum brake, has a leak comming from somewhere inside the brake assembly, it's even leaking out of the little rubber plug where you can adjust the leak. Come to think of it, I'm not sure if it's gear fluid or brake fluid? If it's brake fluid, what ...

| Bestop SuperTop & bad fit with OEM soft uppers? | 10 Jan 2004 01:06 GMT | 3 |
Has anyone had this experience with the Bestop supertop on a '97 & up TJ? I installed the supertop on my '98 TJ and feel I followed the directions to the letter, however, the doors (OEM soft uppers) won't close flush. The rod on the upper frame is hitting the bow assembly.
