| Tire question | 26 Jan 2004 09:04 GMT | 2 |
Is it ok to put 31x10.5x15 tires on 15x7 rims? Or will the profile be too rounded? I know 15x8 rims would be preferable, but don't want to buy new ones. Mounted on 15x7 rims, what would be good psi for general driving, 29psi?

I'm having a weird overheating problem and I need a little help. First, the details. I have an 87 YJ and I just finished putting a 4.0L into it from a 96 ZJ donor. The swap went well except that the motor "appears" to be overheating. I am running the new engine with my original ...

| 258 timing adjustment? | 25 Jan 2004 22:31 GMT | 4 |
I'm trying to get the timing on the my CJ5 '75 258 set at or near the sweet spot. It seems to lack power and fuel mileage is suffering after I installed a NAPA reman. distributor. Engine does idle and runs smooth. I had it set at 12deg btdc. I backed it down to 9deg. It seems to ...

My 1998 TJ just got in a little scrap that left it needing a 3.73 front axle assy. The other Toyota lost its entire front end and both doors. I can't believe they were both in the same accident. So if anyone has a front axle assy or can put me onto one I would be in indebted to ...

| Jeep Wrangler Rubicon | 25 Jan 2004 17:56 GMT | 13 |
I own a '94 XJ right now and am thinking about getting a new Rubicon as a third vehicle that I can use as a convertible, fun vehicle in the summer and to take on the trail every once in a while. My other option is to get a slightly used Wrangler (2000 or newer) and add a slight lift ...

| Tire Size? | 25 Jan 2004 16:18 GMT | 5 |
I was at the dealer recently, and they had put a 4" lift on a Wrangler Sport and installed 33x12.5's. They put aftermarket items on their jeeps if requested by the buyer, and no warranty problems would result. In fact, I let them put a 2" one on mine and I have 31x10.5's. I did not ...

| Life after NV4500? | 25 Jan 2004 16:02 GMT | 5 |
So, the NV4500 is no longer in production. Truck manufacturers who used the NV4500 are changing over to some other tranny. I'd like to see six-speeds with the same bolt pattern as the NV4500 that could fit into a short wheel base Jeep. Does anyone know what the future holds? How
