Are the shocks and springs a piece of cake on an 86 Cherokee? I'm in a high-rust area if that makes a difference. I know I need shocks... the springs could wait a while but they are rusty and the coils are flaking apart somewhat.

I have a 97 wrangler and I would like to put a dual Battery tray in. I have the 4.0l engine with a/c. I seen somewhere one tray wouldnt work if i had the a/c. Was looking for any info if there is one

My wife and I are buying a well-maintained (regular oil changes, never ran hard, never towed with, all maintenance done regularly) 1994 Cherokee Sport 4WD w/ 185,000 miles from a friend of ours (so yes, we know the maintenance history).

When I compressed the spring the other day I noticed there was some play when I moved the spring back and forth. Should there be any play and if so, how much? What's the rule of thumb here? Thanks,

I looked at a 1992 Jeep Cherokee today that makes a noise that sounds like a "rod knock" while the engine is running. This sound is intermittent and when it's making the noise, the engine runs rough. When this noise is gone, the engine appears to run smooth.

i used a green scrub pad to get some tar off my wheels and it left scratches. i dont mind rock rash, but cant tolerate scrubber scratches. whats the best way to get the scratches out? thanks,
