Lower end Clunk on Start-up21 Mar 2004 22:20 GMT3
   Gentlemen (and ladies)
A friend of mine has asked me to relate his issues he is having with his 88
XJ (about 190,000 KM's).
Problem 1:  On start up (right when engine beings to run) there is a
92Jeep Cherokee intermittent problem21 Mar 2004 21:41 GMT3
At idle, the jeep runs fine and most of the time while driving. On occasion,
while driving around 45mph, the engine begins to run very rough and the
check engine light comes on. All I did was pull over, turn the engine off
and then restart. The light was off and the engine ran fine. ...
Body Bushing Removal Question21 Mar 2004 17:57 GMT2
I just got new leaf springs for the from and rear of my 1988 Jeep Wrangler.
I also go the poly bushing for the springs, shackles and body. Unfortunately
the springs came with factory rubber busining in one end. That would be the
end that attaches to the frame. I have two problems ...
U-Bolt Question21 Mar 2004 08:15 GMT3
I have a 1988 Jeep Wrangler that was a soft-top with five leaf springs in
the rear. It is now a hard top and requires six leaf springs in the rear and
four leafs in the front. My question is. Can I use the same U-Bolts with the
five leafs  on the new six leafs. I can not find anyone ...
Getting a new Liberty. Advice on break-in?21 Mar 2004 03:58 GMT2
Looks like we are going to be picking up a new 2004 Liberty in the next few
days. Any advice on breaking it in? The last new car I bought was in 1975 so
the memory is a little rusty.
Any do's or dont's appreciated.
T-150 mount21 Mar 2004 02:40 GMT1
Does anyone have a picture/diagram/illustation of the transmission mount? I
have a 79 CJ-7, 304. I'm just not sure I understand how this is supposed to be
but I don't think mine is right.
Thanks for any help!!
Zinc Anode for Be Cool Radiator21 Mar 2004 01:37 GMT14
I will be installing a new Becool aluminum radiator into my 1988 Jeep
Wrangler this weekend with their 16" puller fan. I am concerned about what
anti-freeze to use and is there is a problem with aluminum raditors that we
do not have with the stock one, such as corrosion or special ...
Help! Rear wheel bearings in Dana 35C won't come out 21 Mar 2004 01:22 GMT8
The rear wheel bearings in my 96 GC with Dana 35c 3.73 rear end
will not budge.  I'm using a heavy duty slide hammer to no
avail.  I worked a couple of hours trying to get them to come out
with the slide hammer with no luck. They don't seem to have moved

Where did they install these?  Are they on the tranny, can't find it there,
or up on the column under the dash?
Thanks

Well, there are a lot of nuts and bolts to take off
before even getting there.  Just wish the puller didn't
have such a long center screw.  2" shorter and the

Do they still do undercoating?20 Mar 2004 20:45 GMT3
Well, got the new Liberty sittnng in the driveway. This being my first new
car since 1975 and, being something of an old fart, my first instinct is to
find a good place to get an undercoating. But this is also my first four
wheel drive and before I have someone spray "tar" all over ...
AC20 Mar 2004 18:52 GMT1
I have a 1997 Cherokee Sport 4.0L. with 75k on the clock. There is a leak in
the AC, because there isn't enough gas form the compressor to come on. The
previous owner said he had it charged last spring. Before I charge it does
any body know of parts that commonly fail? Seals? etc ...
harmonic balancer DONE! :D20 Mar 2004 06:38 GMT4
I feel like the abused step son of mother nature and father time, but it's done.
http://members.cox.net/wilsond/hb/
On the bright side the idle is smoother (not perfect yet but much better) and the vibration I got at 1500-2500 RPM is gone.  So I
might add is the squeeky belt.  That ...

Anyone get a 30x9.50 size tire to fit as an inside spare on an XJ?
If this can never be done what are some of the better rear mount kits?
