How does low oil pressure indicate bad bearings?12 Mar 2004 06:17 GMT20
Mike mentioned this in another post and it's not coming through my little
pea brain how that works.  How does worn bearings produce low oil pressure?
What's the relation?

TJ Kayak Rack? 12 Mar 2004 06:00 GMT11
Any Jeep Yakkers out there?  It's just about kayaking time again, and I'm
looking for the best, most versatile, and easiest-to-use kayak rack system for
my 2000 TJ (softtop).  I've seen several on Quadratec...and have no clue about
any of them.  I've used both Thule and Yakima racks ...
Loud Banging>>>>>Heeelllp!12 Mar 2004 05:22 GMT5
Of course this stuff has to happen when it's really sloppy out and
freezing cold at night!
Our Tj has a brutal banging noise coming from the rear axle area, but
only when we turn sharply left. The "bang" is definitely coming from
Liberty engine shaking on start???12 Mar 2004 04:58 GMT2
Moving from a four cylinder Honda Civic to a Jeep Liberty V6--I notice that
the Liberty's engine shakes awful (earthquake style) for a few seconds when
starting.  Is this normal or am I just a V6 newbie who knows nothing?
Thanks

Where can I find an evaporative canister12 Mar 2004 02:23 GMT1
I disconnected my evaporative canister today and found that, after I
retuned the carb, it runs much better; no more lag.  I heard that this is a
"dealer-only" part but they only have books that go back to '81.  Where can
I get a new one quick without breaking the bank?  4WD ...

Got stuck, what to do?11 Mar 2004 21:18 GMT4
I recently got a little "stuck" in my grand cherokee while driving on some
snowy 2-tracks trails.
Basically, at one point, I had 1 front wheel and 1 rear wheel spinning, and
I wasn't going anywhere.  Wasn't high centered, just quite simply the tires
ford V8 in a jeep cherokee11 Mar 2004 21:15 GMT3
Would it be possible to fit a '91 Ford V8 engine in a Cherokee Limited ?
My father managed to set the original 4.0 engine on fire, luckily there was
no damage other than burnt electronics under the hood, sine the repair would
cost far more than a used ford v8 engine i'm interested ...

Got CJ7 fixed, anyone want to bush run in Ontario Ca. for a couple days?11 Mar 2004 19:05 GMT44
So I got my frame 'fixed' this week and want to hit the bush for a
couple days.
Well, 'fixed' is one way of putting it, they had to replace almost 2' of
my frame at the rear of the drivers side spring.  There was nothing
"Columbia" -- Poor fit for aJeep??11 Mar 2004 16:19 GMT6
Was on the Jeep web-site recently and saw the
Columbia Edition. Had two questions:
1. Did they really name a Jeep after a jacket label?
2. Anything on it besides a "Columbia" sticker?
'91' XJ: running down to empty11 Mar 2004 15:22 GMT7
How bad an idea is it to run an XJ down to empty? When I get near empty I can
hear the fuel pump cavitating (is this the right word) when
I accelerate or stop suddenly. It doesn't sound good.
