HEI conversion11 Mar 2004 12:59 GMT11
To anyone that has done the HEI on a 258.... What distributor gear did you
use?  The recommended 304-360 gear (that I have found - don't know the year)
has a longer sleeve than the 256 gear.  Some of the write-ups talk about
grinding down the 258 gear... what exactly does one grind ...

we have a 7 month old 2003 Jeep Liberty  v6 4x4 (lease) and last month
I found out that we get only 200 miles for a full tank of gas. It was
300 miles or so when we got it. I don't think it's normal. I
called service center and they told me to wait for a warmer weather or

Temp sending unit connected to body lift?11 Mar 2004 02:31 GMT5
I have a buddy that put a 3" body lift on his wrangler and the same time his
temp gauge quit working.  When I bought mine it also had a 3" body lift and
the temp gauge didn't work. I have a new sending unit on order. My friend
already put a new one in his and it didn't fix the gauge ...
CJ7 seats11 Mar 2004 02:11 GMT2
I have an 81 CJ7 with what I've been told are cavelier seats, whatever
they are they don't fit, close the door and you can't put seat belt on. Will
YJ/TJ seats fit in this better? Little easier to find then CJ seats, or if
someone has gone with aftermarket seats that fit well in a ...

I have a 1996JGC 4X4 . I hit a rough spot in the road at about 40MPH the

Adding a differential lock to a Liberty10 Mar 2004 21:46 GMT13
I have a 2002 Liberty with Command-Trac. During the December snow storms
here is Boston I got stuck in heavy snow a couple of times (2-3 feet
overnight). One morning I wasn't even able to leave the parking lot - I
backed a couple of yards before the snow reached the bottom of the ...
XJ brake pad life?10 Mar 2004 21:18 GMT3
How many miles should I expect to get out of the stock (ceramic I believe)
brake pads on a XJ?  It appears mine need replacing, I got a lot of miles
off the stock ones and wonder if I should have changed them sooner.  I am
only now noticing some noises and degraded brake performance ...

Baby Seat for 98 Wrangler10 Mar 2004 10:57 GMT4
Here's a strange question...
I have a 98 Wrangler. I also have a wife who is pregnant. I'm not willing to
part with either one. I need to put a baby car seat in the Wrangler but I
don't want to put in the rear seat. I leave the rear seat out because I
OT - Motorcycle fuel mileage10 Mar 2004 09:54 GMT132
My commute is such that I could do it in half the time on a bike, but I need
more to get Mrs. CRWLR onboard. She is not liking the idea very much.
I want to sell her on the idea that I will save enough on gas for the BMW to
finance the payment on the bike. I am talking about a Real ...
Do you daily drive 33s/lifted TJ?10 Mar 2004 06:19 GMT15
Was just wondering how many folks drive their lifted TJs with at least 33 inch
tires and four inches of lift on a daily basis?  Is it tolerable,  do you still
drive 75 on the expressway, etc?
Wrangler toys: Tow bar10 Mar 2004 06:11 GMT5
Hey there!
I need to install a tow bar on my '04 TJ so I can pull it behind my RV.
Staying with the motorhome mounted models, it looks like Blue Ox Aladdin and
Roadmaster Sterling are the top contenders.
