Kill Switch / Engine Immobilizer04 Mar 2004 05:38 GMT3
Any good suggestions for a Kill Switch / Engine Immobilizer?
I used to use Jacobs "Stop Action", but they discontinued the product.
Much difference between 30's and 31's?04 Mar 2004 05:33 GMT14
I regeared my TJ to 4.10 and dual True-Traks.  I put 30's  on the Jeep when I
first bought it, since I had 3.07 gearing and did not want to go any taller and
could not afford to regear for a while.  Now I'm debating whether it's worth it
to buy some 31's; my 30's are BFG AT's which ...
Y-series Ragtop flap-fix04 Mar 2004 05:31 GMT1
All,
For those of us that have to endure the flapping of the ragtop half-door
windows above 50 mph, I came up with a cheap fix. I apologize if I am not
the first to think of it. Buy yourself some double-sided Velcro-type stuff
squeek squeek.04 Mar 2004 03:51 GMT2
The unibelt is driving me nuts.
Only happens when it's humid and the squeaking
goes away if I touch a bar of soap to the belts
edge.
Weber carb and 258 question04 Mar 2004 03:48 GMT6
I ordered the weber 551 today for the 86 CJ -- it will be here Friday.  I am
not really much of a mechanic, but I have lots of tools, and I'm pretty
handy with mechanical stuff :)  First I know I have to take out the studs
that hold the old carb on, how much trouble is this?  Second ...
TJ exhaust crack advice04 Mar 2004 03:21 GMT7
A few months back I noticed my 98 tj exhaust manifold (6cyl) was cracked at
the weld where the two main pipes join the flange. The top pipe weld has the
crack, its about 1.5" right on the top area. No noise. It hasn't gotten
worse all winter. In your experience, will it get worse? I ...

Huh? Not sure what exactly to think about this article, or the author for that matter. Where's Bill on this one?

Correcting errors in Jeep History - My crusade. Please help!
Hello fellow Jeepers,
I have been updating my WWII Jeep History website for the last couple weeks -
it's a daunting task with over 148 webpages - today I was checking the "Links
Tahoe vs. JGC - help!04 Mar 2004 00:43 GMT22
I just sold my '95 ZJ.  It's been a very dependable ride for the past
162,000 miles.  I've been looking at the '02 and '03 JGC Limited's and
reading reviews.  I think their interior and amenities blow away the
Tahoe, but I keep running across these nagging reviews about people
Growling Sound from Power Steering Cherokee 1994???04 Mar 2004 00:20 GMT2
Every time I push the steering to the edge of its range (on either
side,) I get something that resembles the sound the dinosaurs from
Jurassic Park made when very unhappy (or very hungry)-a gutteral sound
that disappears immediately when I pull the steering back just enough
Air filters that give better gas mileage03 Mar 2004 23:58 GMT6
Okay, I'm not sure I understand this one, and would like one of you guys to
help me:
I've seen after market filters that claim to give better gas mileage. Now,
I think the jeeps use an oxygen sensor in the exhaust system. So, since the

I'm trying to find what noslip model I have.  Anyone have a link where I can
look up the codes printed on it?

chassis dimensions03 Mar 2004 23:19 GMT7
All,
Does anyone have a picture, pdf, or similar of a 76 or newer cj-5 or
cj-7 chassis layout from the factory service manual? I need to know
the dimensions from eye to eye for the spring and shackle hangers. I
Rubi wheels need Rubi Shocks?03 Mar 2004 23:12 GMT4
Howdy folks I swapped my 15 X 8 canyon wheels and 30 inch tires off my 03 TJ
Sport, for some 16 X 8 rubicon wheels and 31 tires.  What I noticed right off
the bat was the increased weight.  I'm wondering if I should shop for a set of
rubicon shocks off ebay due to the weight ...
