| Milky Oil Not Loosing Coolant | 25 Mar 2004 03:14 GMT | 8 |
Today after a hard weekend of offroading (rockclimbing & deep mud) I noticed some foam on the upper part of my dipstick and my oil had some milky film spots to it. I'm hoping it's not a blown head gasket as I've no indication of fluid loss (yet). And no indication of ...

| Speaking of body lifts.... | 25 Mar 2004 03:05 GMT | 3 |
Speaking of body lifts.... I'm thinking of putting a 1" body lift on my '82 Scrambler, using the urethane "bushing" kit. My body mounts are all factory (read: destroyed), and i'm sure the hardware needs replaced as i live in the rust/salt belt (PA). I

Hi guys/gals, Well, my TJ is pretty much apart in the garage. I've got a Rubicon 4.5 Super Flex lift, 35" tires and the ring & Pinion is being changed in the diffs. I'm going to 488's.

| XJ steering problem found (with pictures)!! | 24 Mar 2004 23:41 GMT | 22 |
Well Mike and John S., you guys were right that it wasn't my brake rotors! I think it's a bit more serious than a U-joint though.... I think it is an axle issue. Taking John Sevey's advice I jacked it up again, turned the wheels to full lock and tried to spin each side.

| EGR question for CJ7 | 24 Mar 2004 20:48 GMT | 3 |
How does the EGR system work on a CJ7 with a 258? Specifically, what exactly does the ported vac line do? Does it actually pull the exhaust gases into the carb, or does it simply open the EGR valve? Suppose the EGR ported vac line is not hooked to the carb, but the EGR valve is

| Liberty (2003) gas mileage | 24 Mar 2004 17:46 GMT | 9 |
I am leasing a 2003 Liberty (v6, 4x4), and after a year (about 30,000KM), I'm finding the gas mileage to be very poor, much worse than the posted standards which are (10L/100KM highway, 14/100KM City). I get about 500KM on a tank, and that's mostly highway! On a 70 litre tank that ...

| weber question | 24 Mar 2004 15:44 GMT | 1 |
Well, I finally got around to tweaking the new weber carb today (k551 from carbs.net) for my 258 (86 cj7 computer bypassed). I can't seem to get a decent idle curb idle speed without turning the idle scew in at least 3 turns, and all the information for the weber says it shouldn't

| Cherokee Tune Up questions | 24 Mar 2004 06:25 GMT | 9 |
It's time to give the XJ a tune up. It's had a tune up from a dealer at about 26,000 (long story), but I'm now up to 80,000 (appox.). The only things I've done so far is oil and filter changes, air filter, new trans fluid, and greased the joints.

| cherokee sport noise | 24 Mar 2004 05:38 GMT | 4 |
I am looking at buying a 98 cherokee sport, while test drive, I feel like the interiror is quite noise, I mean it's more noisy than most of the pick up truck of the same year. Is it normal or some sort of sound proof material damage?

| K&N Air filter | 24 Mar 2004 03:31 GMT | 2 |
I know that Bill d/n like K&N's but I already had one before I found out. Anyway I purchased a FIPK Kit 12/20/00 & installed it shortly thereafter. It seemed to be a little inconvenient to take off the filter wash it & let it dry overnight, then oil & reinstall. I finally figured ...
