AMC 20 Axle Oil Seal Replacement Question30 Apr 2004 21:52 GMT10
I am replacing the rear oil seals on my '85 Jeep CJ7. This job sucks
due to the 2 piece axle and rusted on hub, so I don't want to have to
do it again. When I put the axle back together, should I use gasket
sealant between shims, axle housing flange, outer oil seal, brake

This is in San Diego:
Anyone in San Diego see the less than flattering Marti Emerald report on JSA
automotive? It was on tonight. I met him once, the news spot really made him
out to be a crook. Loads of small claims against him and etc. He does Jeep
1990 Jeep Wrangler Oil Sending Unit30 Apr 2004 18:34 GMT2
Where in the hell is this thing?  I have a '90 Wrangler 4 cyl. that
has a oil pressure gauge pegged out, even without the motor running.
I was going to buy a new oil sending unit, but I can't even find the
one that's on there.  I assumed it was next to the oil filter, but to
slotted rotors & off-roading (rock crawling and racing)30 Apr 2004 18:30 GMT6
In December, when I get back, I'm building my Jeep.  I'm going to
33's, adding a lot of weight, and a stroker, so I'm going to replace
the braking system.  I have read that slotted rotors are bad when rock
crawling in case rocks get trapped and scratch them, but on the same
Where to refill dana 20 rear-end?30 Apr 2004 18:28 GMT6
I bent the lower lip on mine and it leaked out a bunch of fluid.  Now I
can't find where to refill it.  I could have sworn I did this about 6
months ago right after I bought the Jeep...  I just can't seem to locate
the fill plug now.  Can someone tell me where it is?  Thanks!

Loose Shift stick on a AX-1530 Apr 2004 07:11 GMT5
The shift stick on my YJ (AX-15 transmission) is very loose, and wobbles
around a lot.
I have removed the boot, and the stick, but am not sure what part I need
to replace to get it back to normal.  I though there would be a nylon

RFI - CO2 systems30 Apr 2004 04:59 GMT12
Thinking of putting together a CO2 system for airing up my tires. I'm
finding some conflicting info though - for example, some people say
buy a regulator that they sell for beer taps, other say you need a
"high flow" regulator.
Engine Oil for "High Mileage" vehicles30 Apr 2004 04:18 GMT5
What's everyone's take on these oils? are they worth the 50% more? Do the
"conditioners" in them work?

Front Alignment Specs30 Apr 2004 03:50 GMT6
Group,
This has probably been covered before, but what front alignment specs are
use on a 2000 XJ with a 3" lift?  Coils with 1.5" pucks (for the added
weight of a winch & bumper) are used in the front.
