| 2004 Wrangler Rubicon Drive Train Noise | 15 Apr 2004 01:37 GMT | 2 |
2004 Rubicon, automatic transmission. I have a 'clunk' in my drive when moving slowly down a rough trail. The dealer in Yuma said this was just the drive train loading and unloading. For example, Woodcutter near Yuma, AZ. This trail has lots of 10-20 inch rocks.

| Which Aftermarket rims? 15x 8 | 14 Apr 2004 23:39 GMT | 6 |
I think I'll get the black painted steel American Racing rims. I haven't really found any other options, and I think for wheeling, I'm going to pass on alumium, plus the price is outrageous, and I have my stock alumium rims for the snow tires.

There are 6 outer bolts around the rim of the hub, do I just remove these? Are there any springs or what not waiting to unravel and is it hard to put back together?

| Looking for suggestions on Rim Brand... | 14 Apr 2004 21:34 GMT | 1 |
There are no markings to indicate where they came from - but the guy who sold the Jeep to me reckoned they were "spun imports"...whatever that means. http://members.ozemail.com.au/~stuartjohnston/Jeep/jeep.htm

| check engine lite | 14 Apr 2004 14:12 GMT | 3 |
What are the problems that are usually involved with the check engine lite? Mine just came on in my 95 xj. I'm not up on all the new things that they seem to put in these things. The oil is ok and the antifreeze is looking good.

| Chicago: Hardtop for the asking... | 14 Apr 2004 12:43 GMT | 20 |
I bought an '04 TJ Sport in January 2004. The dealer had the one I wanted but only with a hard-top. So, I ordered the soft-top and waited two weeks until it arrived. I haven't had time to put it on, but this week is the week. If you live in, or will be in or near Chicago April

| has my shock gone bad? | 14 Apr 2004 06:42 GMT | 7 |
When I lift the xj with the wheels off the axel, one side of the front axel hangs way lower than the other, and if I stand on it, I can't get it to go lower. Me thinks the shock is blown and won't let it go down all the way. I can't

| Rattling near transfer case on '00 XJ? Missing bushing? | 14 Apr 2004 02:11 GMT | 2 |
At idle while in drive (stoplights, etc), I have a hollow-sounding rattle from just under the middle hump in the vehicle. It was suggested by one person that this is because of a missing or lost rubber bushing somewhere near the under-vehicle linkage for the transfer case.
