I'm looking for any ideas for rigging up a hoist to lift the hardtop off and drop it back on without having to unchain the wife from the sink to get her to help me. I've seen the commercially available hoists however they haven't made their way to Australia yet. Any suggestions?

My '86 Jeep CJ7 with a 258 CI and 4 Spd manual runs fine, sounds good but it gives me a fit because I cannot seem to get the oil guage to work. I have replaced both the sending unit and the guage and get no reading at all with the purple hooked up to the middle terminal, red

Anyone know where it is? The owner's manual says there's a fill plug about halfway up on the driver's side of the transmission. All that's there is a plug that takes a torx socket that is stamped "DON'T REMOVE". I don't see any other plug except the

For some reason my Jeep transmission fails to engage when I put it into any gear. I have an automatic transmission with 4WD. Sometimes it goes into gear and sometimes it doesn't. Also, the 4WD light will stay on whether its in 4WD or not. Someone told me to check the Throttle

A red warning light go on in the dash of my 89 YJ came on this morning, it says "emmis maint". The YJ has 140,000 miles on the OD but runs great, no change since the warning came on.
