Why I will never go back to the dealership again27 Apr 2004 01:04 GMT7
So this is my story of the dealership from hell.  I had an oil leak on
the power steering pump, the jeep was vibrating bad at 100KM and the
check engine light was on.  Most of the stuff was covered and they
replaced some sensors.  So my jeep is ready, I pick it up after work
2003 Jeep Wrangler Back Seat Needed26 Apr 2004 23:29 GMT2
I recently got a great deal on a 2003 Jeep Wrangler SE.  The vehicle
only has 78 miles on the odometer which is great.  The trouble is that
it does not come with a back seat. Getting one new through the parts
department at the Jeep dealer will end up costing me (including

2004 Wrangler Rubicon Drive Train Noise26 Apr 2004 17:31 GMT2
2004 Rubicon, automatic transmission.
I have a 'clunk' in my drive when moving slowly down a rough trail.  The dealer
in Yuma said this was just the drive train loading and unloading.
For example, Woodcutter near Yuma, AZ.   This trail has lots of 10-20 inch rocks.
Options for shipping wheels/tires26 Apr 2004 16:56 GMT2
I'm looking to buy a set of 31 inch wheels and tires (already mounted) from a
guy in PA. I'm in NC, about 10 hours away. What options do I have with having
these shipped? (UPS, train, truck frieght, bored ramj+w memeber looking for a
road trip...etc). Thanks

question on jeep dealer refusing service.26 Apr 2004 13:53 GMT111
I recently purchased a new jeep wrangler from a dealership 170 miles from my
home.  ( a better deal than the local dealer.)  I have been having a problem
with a noise coming from underneath the jeep when I make a sharp turn.  I
talked to the local dealership (I can't get it in until ...
Stalling in LO gear26 Apr 2004 09:51 GMT2
I have a 96 Grand Cherokee and am wondering is it normal for the engine to
stall when going downhill faster than the enginecan brake?  When I switch to
4WD and put the auto trans into 1st gear and start climbing a steep hill, if
I let the jeep roll back a few feet on an incline, the ...
Rowher Flats in CA26 Apr 2004 06:16 GMT1
What is the difficulty level of Rowher Flats trail in Southern California?
I'm mainly talking about the steep climb straight to the top from Bouquet
Canyon Rd.  I want to try this trail but want to know if anyone else would
be willing to give it a shot with me?  The trail looks ...

Tire Diameter vs. Turning Radius26 Apr 2004 03:01 GMT5
Sombody help me with some math.  What affects turning radius, tire width,
tire diameter or both?  I've got 33 x 12.5 x 15's now and considering a swap
to shorter tires with an equally wide cross-section.  I have AMC 20, 4.10
gears and plan to complete the drive train with an ...
TJ Scrambler project - comments wanted26 Apr 2004 02:45 GMT5
Here's a project I'm thinking about doing: since the Wrangler Unlimited has
basically the same wheelbase as the old Scrambler, take an Unlimited,
stretch the bed behind the rear wheels about 11" to make it the same length
as a Scrambler.

'91' XJ: lubing the front driveshaft double cardan joint26 Apr 2004 01:04 GMT1
How does anyone lube the front knuckle of the front driveshaft double cardan
joint? I can't get to it w/my grease gun w/anything. It's blocked by the plate
which holds the xfer case in. I'm thinking I might drill or cut a hole in that
plate just so I can get to the front knuckle.
Door Removal26 Apr 2004 00:31 GMT44
The weather this week in NC has been great, and it is suppose to stay that
way for a while. So I decided to take my doors off my 2002 TJ this evening.
This is the first time I have done it, and I love it. I was wondering
though, what types of laws are there for mirrors, I see a lot, ...
