How do I find out if the nutter bypass is legal to do in my state (NC)?
Gas Milage31 May 2004 20:51 GMT1
I just bought a 2004 Grand Cherokke with the 4.0 engine. I have only about
1500 miles on it. I am only getting between 11-12 mpg. Mostly around town
driving with some highway. This seems low. My v8 Durango did better then
this. Anybody else with the 6 cylinder getting better ...
Serpantine belt31 May 2004 20:47 GMT1
I put a new serpentine belt on my 97 Cherokee and it is adjusted properly,
but when I turn on the air conditioner when the engine is cold, the belt
squeals for a while then goes away.  Is it possible my A/C compressor is
going bad?  It cools just fine.  I tried some wax on it and ...
Save 300 to 400 on Driveshaft vibration fix?31 May 2004 20:06 GMT3
After reading a couple of articles on resolving driveshaft vibration it
seems I can get away with using shims rather than getting a CV Shaft if I
understand it correctly.
After adding my lift kit my shaft has an angle coming down from the transfer
Got a good deal on MTR's31 May 2004 17:45 GMT12
I hope 31's are big enough!
I hadn't been considering MTR's because of the price, figured I would go
with BFG AT/KO. Went to Just Jeeps in Toronto today and they had a "show
special" $20 off the sale price for each tire. Opting for the MTR's for the
Differences between 94 YJ and 95 YJ31 May 2004 11:01 GMT3
Is there any differences in the Fuel injection configuration/setup between
these two years or can one say they are exactly the same?
Thanks,
Bill
Buying a Liberty CRD31 May 2004 09:15 GMT55
I live in California, and I'm planning on buying a Jeep Liberty CRD
when it comes out (the Diesel powered Liberty that Jeep's apparently
been selling everywhere else on the planet, except the USA).
The vibe I get is that this vehicle will not be sold in California.
Stock Pitman Arm needed31 May 2004 07:58 GMT4
Hey Everyone,
My Scrambler needs some help on the pitman arm.  It's got 2" shackle
lift/reversal kit, 2" springs of some variety and 33's.  The linkage on the
Jeep when i bought it (stock shackles) was bent with a torch and made to fit.
97 TJ Dana 35 Pinion Seal Question31 May 2004 07:37 GMT2
Evening,
What is the depth of the pinion seal supposed to be on a rear Dana 35?
Flush with the housing or until it bottoms out?
Thanks
Flasher relay - 04' ZJ31 May 2004 05:29 GMT1
Installed an aftermarket hitch and wiring harness on a 2004 Grand Cherokee,
manufacturer recommends swapping the flasher relay out for a heavy-duty
flasher relay. I'm looking around the fuse box (under the dash) for the old
silver can lookin' flasher relay but don't see anything ...
Canadian Military Trailer31 May 2004 05:19 GMT28
Anyone in the Southwest purchase one of the Canadian military trailers that
recently became available?
Muffler is dead.. which replacement is best?31 May 2004 05:07 GMT7
Well, my catalytic converter died (per my post last week) and luckily the
dealer replaced it for free without giving me a hard time.  It took them a
week.... but hey, what's a little patience, right?  Anyhow, in the process
they "discovered" that the heat shield on my muffler had ...
heavy-duty tie rod31 May 2004 02:45 GMT14
I am buying a skyjacker heavy-duty tie rod, but would like to know
after you install it do you need a wheel alignment? Is there away to
mark it so you do not need to get one done or is there a trick to it?
Odd noise and stuff30 May 2004 21:00 GMT12
Buddy of mine contacted me today, asking if I knew what was going on
with his Jeep. I'm at a loss, hoping someone here might have a
suggestion. Here's his description:
"i was driving home from work yesterday, when all of a sudden WHUMP -
Screeching Noise30 May 2004 19:59 GMT3
I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee that makes a loud screeching noise whenever
the clutch is depressed.  I thought this was the only time it made this
noise, but we had the hood opened the other day and it was making the
noise in much smaller increments without depressing the clutch.  ...
