| Gas Milage | 31 May 2004 20:51 GMT | 1 |
I just bought a 2004 Grand Cherokke with the 4.0 engine. I have only about 1500 miles on it. I am only getting between 11-12 mpg. Mostly around town driving with some highway. This seems low. My v8 Durango did better then this. Anybody else with the 6 cylinder getting better ...

| Serpantine belt | 31 May 2004 20:47 GMT | 1 |
I put a new serpentine belt on my 97 Cherokee and it is adjusted properly, but when I turn on the air conditioner when the engine is cold, the belt squeals for a while then goes away. Is it possible my A/C compressor is going bad? It cools just fine. I tried some wax on it and ...

| Save 300 to 400 on Driveshaft vibration fix? | 31 May 2004 20:06 GMT | 3 |
After reading a couple of articles on resolving driveshaft vibration it seems I can get away with using shims rather than getting a CV Shaft if I understand it correctly. After adding my lift kit my shaft has an angle coming down from the transfer

I hope 31's are big enough! I hadn't been considering MTR's because of the price, figured I would go with BFG AT/KO. Went to Just Jeeps in Toronto today and they had a "show special" $20 off the sale price for each tire. Opting for the MTR's for the

| Buying a Liberty CRD | 31 May 2004 09:15 GMT | 55 |
I live in California, and I'm planning on buying a Jeep Liberty CRD when it comes out (the Diesel powered Liberty that Jeep's apparently been selling everywhere else on the planet, except the USA). The vibe I get is that this vehicle will not be sold in California.

Installed an aftermarket hitch and wiring harness on a 2004 Grand Cherokee, manufacturer recommends swapping the flasher relay out for a heavy-duty flasher relay. I'm looking around the fuse box (under the dash) for the old silver can lookin' flasher relay but don't see anything ...

| Muffler is dead.. which replacement is best? | 31 May 2004 05:07 GMT | 7 |
Well, my catalytic converter died (per my post last week) and luckily the dealer replaced it for free without giving me a hard time. It took them a week.... but hey, what's a little patience, right? Anyhow, in the process they "discovered" that the heat shield on my muffler had ...

I am buying a skyjacker heavy-duty tie rod, but would like to know after you install it do you need a wheel alignment? Is there away to mark it so you do not need to get one done or is there a trick to it?

| Screeching Noise | 30 May 2004 19:59 GMT | 3 |
I have a 1996 Jeep Cherokee that makes a loud screeching noise whenever the clutch is depressed. I thought this was the only time it made this noise, but we had the hood opened the other day and it was making the noise in much smaller increments without depressing the clutch. ...
