| Drive jeep without muffler | 17 May 2004 03:06 GMT | 13 |
Ok, I have the R&R guy just about done with my engine install and I need to get the pipe work done to connect to my new 4.0L exhaust manifold. Can I drive it without the muffler for a short distance (about 2 miles) or would this damage the engine in any way?

I realize the title of this message is somewhat inflammatory, and no offense is intended to those few of you who have built a worthwhile jeep out of aftermarket parts or your own ingenuity. But the vehicles as they are being offered for sale by Chrysler corporation are

| Dinged Drive Shaft | 16 May 2004 19:15 GMT | 15 |
It seems my TJ's front drive shaft became up close and personal with a rock at some point. There are some deep scratches and a bit of a dent in it: http://www.storm.ca/~sprocket/jeep/shaft/. Am I paranoid to worry about it being more likely to pretzel now? Should I get it re-tubed ...

I see most of you are running Ad Aware, which is good. Just thought I would let everyone know that Ad Aware does miss some things that need to be cleaned off your system. In addition to Ad Aware, you should be using Spybot Serach & Destroy. These two programs compliment each other ...

| traditional bikini top with windjammer in winter? | 16 May 2004 02:32 GMT | 12 |
If it's in good working order, does the heater on late 70's CJ put out enough heat to make a North Carolina winter bearable with a traditional bikini top and windjammer? I mean wearing a light jacket and long pants and not freezing kind of bearable. We only get down
