On putting a CJ front clip on a YJ...16 May 2004 01:58 GMT2
I think most YJ owners have wondered about it, in idle moments - just
looked at the Barbie-Car square headlights and misshapen grille and
thought, how hard would it be?  Well, I'm learning - I'd had my fill of the
avant-garde styling on my '94 YJ and decided to make it, ...

What's the difference between YJ and TJ?15 May 2004 19:51 GMT4
YJ = Square head lights?
I'm being lazy and just going straight to the experts here.

Looking for cheap white or black wagon wheels15 May 2004 17:00 GMT2
What's the cheapest place for a set of 8x15 wagon wheels?  I need to
replace the 9x16 wheels on my M416 trailer.  I'm tired of trying to
find tubes for the military wheels and the stock rims.

Muffler work (DIY)15 May 2004 12:53 GMT1
For some reason I've always had the impression muffler work was beyond the
average joe.  That is, you would need weld to install a muffler.  Got to
thinking about it today while my jeep was on the rack and it looks pretty
simple.  I just don't know how the pieces are put together.

Are Aftermarket Soft Tops any Quieter?15 May 2004 01:39 GMT7
I do love my '00 Sahara but I do a lot of highway driving and rumble and
flutter from the soft top drives me nuts. Even ear plugs don't help much.
I heard that Jeep introduced a lined top in '01 but I was wondering if any
of the aftermarket tops any quieter?
preventative maintenance? 14 May 2004 23:37 GMT2
Ok, I have the oil pan off of my jeep again (86 cj7, 258, 88,000 miles).  I
am wondering if it would be worth the cost of a new oil pump while I have
it open?  My oil pressure seems about right with what others have out of
the 258 -- 20 pounds idle, warm.  Also, how much, is too ...
Clogged PCV tube14 May 2004 22:41 GMT12
Took advantage of the nice weather to finally replace my PCV tubes and hoses
on my '95 GC Limited (143K miles).  Just as I thought......99% clogged!  I
took a deep breath and blew on the tube and could barely feel an airstream
coming through the other end - of course, a much weaker ...
exhaust question14 May 2004 22:40 GMT3
I have an 89YJ 4.2L.
If I pull the catalytic converter off, do I have to be concerned about any
sensors or anything?
Thanks

Where to jack my jeep14 May 2004 20:58 GMT7
I've seen several posts in this NG, and have come across some other sites
that suggest NOT to jack your jeep up with a floor jack under the axle
tubes.  Likewise, not to jack up your jeep under the pumpkins (whether in
the front or back)
steering columns- cherokee to wrangler?14 May 2004 20:02 GMT27
The adjustable steering column in my wrangler is very loose; sloppy down
in the pivot, the joint. I am worried that it may come apart some day
when driving.
I've had the steering wheel come off a car when driving (long, long ago
