Is the heat shield attached to the stock muffler necessary?  I still have
the heat shield attached to the underside of the tub, but the one attached
to the muffler had to be torn off.  The muffler could probably hold out
another month or two without being replaced, as long as that ...

I am a long-time FSJ owner, and am contemplating adding a Wrangler 4.0 t the
fleet. I know nothing about the Wrangler. I am most interested in how they

soft top. Then I bought the Fleet Air Targa Top (front roof panel is
removable) which is a good top, and nice and quiet for the Winter, but

I monitor several other newsgroups, a few other auto related, and none of
them seem to attract all the cross posted crap that this one does.  Why is
