A/C Clutch problems30 May 2004 19:23 GMT1
Anyone know a cheap source of a rebuild kit for the A/C clutch assy?  Mine
is starting to rub when it's not engaged and when my Cherokee did this it
eventually caused enough heat to sh.t out the bearing and cause the whole
shebang to lock up leaving me stranded.  Maybe it was the ...
Heat shield necessary?30 May 2004 16:00 GMT13
Is the heat shield attached to the stock muffler necessary?  I still have
the heat shield attached to the underside of the tub, but the one attached
to the muffler had to be torn off.  The muffler could probably hold out
another month or two without being replaced, as long as that ...

The Leak Goes On...29 May 2004 20:36 GMT7
My '94 YJ has been a chronic leaker at the main seal ever since it was new.
The original owner had the main seal replaced at 10 & 20k miles, then traded
it off at 25k. I had it replaced at 28k, along with a new clutch to replace
the oil-soaked, chattering original. That seal made it ...

How come my steering wheel is off-center after returning from Tellico trails?29 May 2004 15:05 GMT5
I went to Tellico a while back after which I noticed that my steering wheel
"where you rest your thumb part of the steering wheel" is no longer
perfectly horzontal like it used to be.  Even when I am driving in a
straight line.  Does this mean I need an alignment?  there are no ...
Wrangler29 May 2004 13:21 GMT6
I am a long-time FSJ owner, and am contemplating adding a Wrangler 4.0 t the
fleet. I know nothing about the Wrangler. I am most interested in how they
behave in ice/snow conditions. Any opinions or information will be greatly
appreciated.
New Clutch has a "break in period"29 May 2004 04:06 GMT4
Part of my engine installation was to install a brand new clutch.  The
clutch pressure plate was balanced with the flywheel at the machine shop.
When I got my jeep from the R&R guy, for the first 10 - 20 miles or so, when
I came to a stop and pressed on the clutch I felt the jeep ...
94 Cherokee Back light switch29 May 2004 03:15 GMT2
Just what is the button on the rear cab light supposed to do?  Manual says
something about bypassing the other lights, I can't get anything to happen
with it.  The light works fine when a front door is open, but I need that
light when just the hatch is open.
97 Wrangler - Loud squeal under hood29 May 2004 02:37 GMT2
I have a 97 Wrangler(Auto) with 65,000 miles on it; I started gettting this
loud squeal from under the hood at idle, however when I accelerate it goes
away until I am back at idle, but it will also occasionally stop while at
idle for a while and then just start back again.  I had ...
Dropping Bestop Sunrider top vs. factory soft top?29 May 2004 02:29 GMT12
Hi gang,
I have a 1999 Jeep Wrangler with 3 tops. I bought it with the factory
soft top. Then I bought the Fleet Air Targa Top (front roof panel is
removable) which is a good top, and nice and quiet for the Winter, but
Why does RAMJ+W attract so much OT Political spooge?29 May 2004 02:13 GMT4
I monitor several other newsgroups, a few other auto related, and none of
them seem to attract all the cross posted crap that this one does.  Why is
that?
