| "Badges? We don't need no stinkin' badges." | 10 May 2004 15:51 GMT | 12 |
The Trail Rated badge has got to be the stupidest gimmick I've ever heard. Is the Jeep the only vehicle to survive a Nevada Auto Testing Center off-road trail? Now, if the NATS distributed this as an annual reward to the vehicles most worthy, like Motor Trend--or something like ...

| Warn 8274 Motor Problems | 10 May 2004 05:24 GMT | 20 |
All Solenoids are functioning properly and distributing power according to the schematic. http://www.pirate4x4.com/tech/billavista/8274/ Now my only conclusion is that there is a problem with the motor. Here is my question....Is it cheaper for a rebuild or to buy a rebuilt one? ...

| Months Or Miles, Whichever Comes First? | 10 May 2004 04:00 GMT | 16 |
Since when does the dealer go by miles in determining scheduled maintenance, and not months? My '02 TJ has very low miles-12,800m from date of purchase(8/02). For that reason, a lot of the time I go by month rather than mileage in determining oil/filter changes. If I went by

....with that keyfob thing. It would have been a wasted $250.00. The receiver in the car went dead so I am having the whole thing ripped out. Good riddance. If that would have been one of the modern immobilizer things I'd have

| Jeep Engine Stalls Just After Startup | 10 May 2004 01:33 GMT | 5 |
I have a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited, 76,000 miles. I had a weird problem today. The engine would start very quickly with no hesitation, run for about 3-5 seconds, and then abruptly shut off. After about 2-3 starts/stops like this, I gave it some gas immediately after ...

| Fuel injection wiring problem with 89 cherokee 4.0L | 10 May 2004 01:11 GMT | 10 |
I just recently bought the above mentioned vehicle from a friend with the wiring problem made clear at time of purchase. The jeep runs fine 99% of the time but every once in a while I need to jiggle one of the wires that connects to one of the injectors. The injector wire in

| '91' XJ: compass and radio LED's don't work | 10 May 2004 00:24 GMT | 3 |
They're both dark, the time LED though works perfectly. I checked the ground strap and it looked OK. It wasn't frayed or broken anywhere. Any ideas anyone? Blown fuse maybe? -Bill (remove "botizer" to reply via email)

| Center/Offset rear axle (FrankenWillys Wagon)? | 09 May 2004 20:55 GMT | 1 |
I was just offered a killer deal on a pair of 74 CJ axles for the 'FrankenWillys' including a front with disk brakes on it. $100 for the complete pair (being driven around daily as I write, they're in great shape) is actually cheaper than what I'd intended with just adding a

| Libert Diesel...Nov 04 or early 05? | 09 May 2004 06:18 GMT | 71 |
Before the NYC Auto show D/C held a press conference and announced it would be available in Nov. 05; on their web site it says early 05. Does anyone know for certain when the dealer can deliver it to a retail buyer?

| Oil pump on a 304 | 09 May 2004 05:08 GMT | 6 |
I think tomorrow I'm going to install the oil pump rebuild kit for my 304. I picked up my Chiltons manual a few minutes ago to see what I was going to be in for and it looks SUPER easy like I just have to remove the piece that the oil pump screws onto and the gears of the
