I just returned from buying a CJ from about 280 miles away. While I was there I tested everything and all was a-ok. I checked the fluids and wanted to make sure everything was ok for the roadtrip home. Oil indicated a little low so we added a quart. Still showed low, but

ok ok this may be a silly question but.... I was looking on eBay for a rear seat and found plenty for mid 70's and up. I know from looking at the Bestop rear seats that there seems to be a difference between, well let's just call them "age groups".

I have the factory D44 lsd in back and would like to get a locker. My plan is, if possible, to get a new D44 in back with a locker, and put the rear D44 I have now up front. Can a rear differential be made to work in the front?

I have a 1983 cj 7. Does anyone know of a kit to extend the rear coverage of the roll cage so as to better protectthe rear occupants and still fit under a hard top? What about a replacement roll cage?

OK - there I was, driving along about 35mph on paved road. Heard something pop like the tranny popped out of gear, and then there was no forward motivation. rolled into a parking lot and determined that I could move forward and reverse in 4-low - but not move at all in 4hi

Anyone out there dome a 4.0 head conversion on a 258 engine? I know about the water jacket passages that need blocking and exhaust manifold and valve covers need replacing but what else? It just seems too easy....or is it that easy? I've read a number of articles on the net but none ...
