| Everyone's fav spark plugs/wires/etc.? | 11 Jun 2004 04:37 GMT | 14 |
What does everyone like to use the most in their Jeep? I hear stories from people saying that the OEM plugs are the best, others swear by whatever the populat platinum plugs are. Others love Splitfires, and yet more people claim they are damaging to use because of burning holes in ...

| Jeep manual shift and rattle problem | 11 Jun 2004 03:59 GMT | 7 |
For the last two months I've been experiencing a clunky rattle underneath when accelerating from a dead stop and when I hit bumps. Two mechanics could not find anything wrong. It was mostly felt right under the floor by my right foot on the gas.

| Exhaust Underwater? | 11 Jun 2004 03:02 GMT | 9 |
I've never brought my XJ into enough water to know or not, so heres the question...will the motor keep running ok if the exhaust pipe is underwater? From what I understand, as long as the intake has a clean air shot then the motor won't risk hydro lock. So whats the verdict?

| OEM and Bestop parts compatability | 11 Jun 2004 00:11 GMT | 1 |
Is the stuff from Bestop compatible with the OEM Jeep top? I'd like to get new tinted windows for my OEM top. Do they all interchange or is only the Supertop or only the R-A-T parts fit? Or will I need to skip Bestop and buy from the Jeep dealer if i'm not replacing the whole ...

| One More Time: Deep Water on Passenger Side Floor | 10 Jun 2004 23:43 GMT | 3 |
I know it's been posted here ad nauseum, but you know how it goes... if it hasn't been a problem for you yet, you tend to not read about it. Anyway, this has been the wettest spring I can remember. We had a rain so hard a couple weeks ago, I had to pull off the road because

| Bubba Jeep RIP | 10 Jun 2004 22:36 GMT | 15 |
Hey everyone, I'm delurking to write this because you guys are the only ones who will understand my misery. I lost my beloved Bubba Jeep today to a GMC Sierra that ran a stop sign while we were on our way to work, his top down for the first time in weeks, enjoying the great

| CJ-7 Springs | 10 Jun 2004 16:30 GMT | 4 |
My 1986 CJ is my daily driver, therefore I am still running the stock suspension with 31" tires. My tie rod ends are shot, as are the shackle bushings. I placed an order for replacement parts today. My (original) springs are pretty flat, the bump stop is only 1 3/8" from the axle ...

| I must be loosing my mind | 10 Jun 2004 13:47 GMT | 1 |
Yesterday I'm thinking to Heck with this. I'll just sell my CJ and buy a new TJ or something like that. Later I'm thinking, nope, even if I have to put another motor in it I'm keeping it. Today I'm looking at ads actually thinking how I could swing another CJ

| 97 wrangler oil pressure... | 10 Jun 2004 09:31 GMT | 5 |
I have seen a lot of posts here about oil pressure senders failing on 97's, but I want to just see if this fits the profile.. My sons wrangler, 4cyl, suddenly started showing about 20 lbs pressure at idle. The pressure swings with engine speed, to about 45-50 lbs at highway

| 4" Full Traction Lift LHD/RHD | 10 Jun 2004 07:56 GMT | 3 |
If I purchased a 4" full traction lift kit from the US would their be any problems fitting it to a RHD UK TJ. Looking at the photo's for the kit contents it looks like the adjustable front track bar is a none handed item. The only bracket that looks to be handed

| 97 TJ Big Trouble | 10 Jun 2004 06:32 GMT | 7 |
I am getting ready for my emissions testing. I changed the oil/filter, plugs, wires, cap/rotor, and cleaned the throttle body. The cleaner I used was safe for O2 sensors. When I went to get the stuff Pep Boys didn't have the cap/rotor so I did the rest of the work and then picked ...
