Is this sound normal?10 Jun 2004 04:06 GMT5
I have a week old 04 wrangler and have noticed a strange  ( to me at
least ) noise occuring. At slow speeds, when I turn left or right, I
"feel" something sort of 'pop' at my feet underneath the vehicle. It
does seem to be consistent and occurs on whichever side im steering
Hex Bit for NV3550 Drain/Fill Plugs10 Jun 2004 03:39 GMT2
I am going to attempt to change the transmission oil in my 2001 TJ (4L) w/
the NV 3550 5 speed manual transmission.
I have the Mopar recommended fluid, but do not have the proper size hex bit
for the drain/fill plugs.  I measured the I/D across two opposite faces with
Determining health of transfer case, pinion, transmission10 Jun 2004 02:56 GMT10
Since I've had this jeep I've had like a "shimy" or sometimes even a violent
vibration when letting out the clutch in either first or reverse.  It's
actually the worse in Reverse.  I can sometimes rev the engine higher and
get through it easier but it still happens to some extent.  ...

I pulled my old jeep out from under the oak tree and got it running.
I would really like to totaly refurbish it, but i think it is beyond
hope for that.  The body has some serious rust dammage and i haven't
found anywhere i can get replacement parts easily.  Instead i was

TJ Gas mileage ?09 Jun 2004 21:07 GMT29
Thinking about purchasing an Unlimited, but want to get an idea of
what kind of gas mileage people are getting on late model TJ's.
Gas here is 2.29/2.39/2.49 <<ouch>>  at most places, with a few
stations a dime  lower across the board.

Why Did They Do That?09 Jun 2004 12:42 GMT3
Well, I was servicing the 04 TJ and 04 WJ and both have 4.0L engines the WJ
is the wife's and the TJ is mine.  You would think after all these many
years that Chrysler Corp would have their sh.t together but, their I go
thinking again.

Great afternoon all!
I need to replace my steering bell crank.  It's pretty much toast.  It has
a 7/8" shaft though I cannot seem to find any parts that are for the V6
version of my Jeep.  Is the 4 cylinder, 7/8" shaft the same as the V6??
