| need heavy duty brake rotors | 02 Jun 2004 15:16 GMT | 3 |
Does anyone know where I can find some brake rotors for my 2001 Cherokee that will last more than two years? I've had this problem on every Cherokee I have owned. Maybe it's me, or hauling my 2500 lb boat around now and then has something to do with it.

| Head scratcher of the day | 02 Jun 2004 14:02 GMT | 7 |
I can't figure it out. This can't be normal. My `79 CJ-5 with about 30 miles on its ground-up reincarnation is doing something wacky with where it wants its tires to sit -- the fronts are farther apart than the rears. The fronts measure 43 5/8", between the

| Losing power... AGAIN.. HELP! | 02 Jun 2004 13:26 GMT | 8 |
Ok, I'm losing power AGAIN. Seems almost intermittent. I just put on my 31's back on yesterday and thought the switch might have been the problem. But even since I've put them on the problem has gotten worse. I'd compare it to what happened before I got the cat replaced. Not as ...

| Best choice for replacement lifters | 02 Jun 2004 06:55 GMT | 10 |
I give up! I am going to replace the lifters in my 1990 YJ 258. I am replacing due to a clacking noise on start up which is lasting longer before it goes away and now sometimes reappears (although much quieter). I have tried all the cleaners and some seem to help a bit for a ...

| need help about throttle body install. | 02 Jun 2004 01:06 GMT | 12 |
I just realized that the net might help me answer a question. I recently purchased a throttle body spacer for my '94 Jeep Wrangle, 2.5L 4 cylinder, and have noticed that from a stop, when accelerating at a moderate level, (not too fast), the engine's RPM goes from 1st to 2nd, but ...

Hey all, 85 CJ7/258/Carter BBD/recent rebuild/computer back in the loop for now I've finally got some time to deal with the mild ping my engine has (running any Octane rating). Here's the story: I recently had the engine rebuilt. It

| Finally fixing it | 01 Jun 2004 19:11 GMT | 40 |
I'm finally going to attempt to fix my leaky valve cover on my 85 CJ7 258. From what I've gathered here I should get a new cork gasket and sandwich it between layers of RTV. Couple of questions: What should I use to clean the surfaces that will get the RTV? Is there any brand ...

| UPDATE: Fuel injection conv, can't pass smog. The final solution. | 01 Jun 2004 19:03 GMT | 14 |
It was the tires/wheels setup. I am running 33's on 15's. The smog dyno can't compensate for that setup. So we put on stock sized tires/wheels and she pass with flying colors. So what do you think of that? Pass the word around. Thanks and good luck

If I fit an Old Man Emu 2" Suspension Lift and a 1" Bodylift, do you think I could get away with running 33 x 9.5 R15 BFG AT/MT tires. Cheers

| OT: (Somewhat) Question about monster tires and busted axles | 01 Jun 2004 15:55 GMT | 3 |
So while watching the Indy 500 this afternoon, a commercial came on that showed a monster truck bouncing around... I don't know what it was doing 'cause I wasn't paying that much attention. The trucks I'm talking about are the "Big Foot" types -- you know, the ones with the tires ...

| CJ dash replacement | 01 Jun 2004 15:54 GMT | 4 |
I was reading an article on replacing a CJ dash just now, and it says to fold the windshield down, and prop up the hardtop. Just looking at it, I don't understand why these two steps are necessary. Can anyone tell me?
