OT: Insurance Advice24 Jun 2004 02:44 GMT3
Figured I'd tap the Great Fountain of Knowledge I've always found here at
RAMJ+W for this one.
2 weeks ago my car, a '97 Subaru, got pummeled by hail here in Colorado.
Luckily, the Rigg was under cover getting some work done, phew.  The car is
Manual choke24 Jun 2004 02:00 GMT5
OK. I'm tired of my damn choke not choking anymore.  Time to put in a
manual choke.  Are these easy to install?  Will any manual choke work or
are they specific for a carb?  I'm assuming an autozone-ish store
carries them?

The Only Book of its type,Useful for older swaps

Consumer Reports dists Grand Cherokee23 Jun 2004 17:28 GMT15
I stood in a bookstore yesterday evening and read through a special edition
of Consumer Reports which presented overviews of many vehicles, including
the Jeep Grand Cherokee, which they placed on a "do not buy" list because of
long term unfavorable reports.
NV4500 & Hydraulic Clutch23 Jun 2004 15:16 GMT6
When the clutch push rod rushes on the fork, how is it supposed to
connect TO the fork. Mine has two holes in it and the push rod goes
right through. Aren't I supposed to have some kind of "shoe" or dimpled
dish-like thing in the fork for the rod to push on?

Tan vs. Spice23 Jun 2004 15:12 GMT8
I'm thinking about swapping my half doors for full doors.  The guy I'm
swapping with has a '99 TJ, I have a '98.  I am already planning on
re-painting the outside of the door, but I'm unsure of how the inside
will look.
High Idle in my 86 cherokee23 Jun 2004 15:06 GMT2
I have an 86 jeep Cherokee with a 2.5 TBI motor, it idles at about 2000 rpm
once it gets warm, unless I use the motor to slow down the engine, then it
will stay at about 1100. I cannot according to the sticker under the hood
adjust the idle. Any Ideas about what I should look for?
d35 carrier install ?'s23 Jun 2004 14:12 GMT4
I have a 93yj with the d35 rear end.  I bought a used no-slip for the d35
but it turns out it didn't fit my carrier.  The person who sold it to me
gave me the carrier out of his 93xj with d35.  I want to get it installed
but the costs so far has been killing me...Now I'm looking at ...

Talk me out of buying Goodyear MT/R's?23 Jun 2004 04:01 GMT31
Any reason that these tires suck?
I want a fairly aggressive tire for mostly street and some offroad driving, to
include mud and wet snow  in Western Oregon and rocky stuff in Central Oregon.
However, I am not a recreational mudder and don't want or need true mud tires;
