Garvin Industries Wilderness Safari Racks09 Jul 2004 23:05 GMT9
Has anyone used the TJ version, I need storage space and have heard these
are some of the best made racks. I dont do any serious offraod
angle stuff, so I am not concerned with overhead weight(within
reason) Comments??
'01 GC Headlight Lens09 Jul 2004 21:53 GMT3
I've watched this groups and a couple other Jeep groups for a while and have
not been able to find any info on if there is a way to repair the front
headlight lens on a Grand Cherokee. I have an '01 and do a lot of highway
driving. The lens are now pitted and scratched. Does anyone ...
Still unexplained Coolant loss09 Jul 2004 20:33 GMT12
My 2001 Jeep Cherokee has a total of  29.5K miles with only 5 weeks
to go on the warranty. I have taken the XJ back for a 2nd time(this year)
now for coolant loss. There are no traces on the ground or in the engine
compartment. I do not see excessive smoke out the tailpipe or any ...
Ok Bill, Now what?09 Jul 2004 19:31 GMT10
I'm kinda sure I'm gonna have to take my Jeep to a professional, I just
wanted to say it before you did ;-) I looked at the rear differential,
not a metal tag there. Somebody has been inside it and I can tell by the
gasket 'ooze' around it. Tranny is nice and clean. Big round ...

Where is a good WILLYS  newsgroup site, etc?08 Jul 2004 23:55 GMT4
I'm looking for a site where I can view mostly older Jeeps (Pre-AMC).  I
have a pair of 46 Willys, so I'm kind of partial to the older ones.  Nothing
against the newers CJ7's, etc.  (I think we've even got some TJ's and others
out there)
Problem starting my Jeep Comanche 8708 Jul 2004 23:40 GMT3
Hi I have an 87 Comanche 4X4 I6.
Since almost 2 mounts my Jeep is very hard to start especially in the
morning. (After the first start of the day usually the Jeep is fine.)
The engine is cranking but doesn't want to start. Sometimes it takes 2 or 3

Overcharging Alternator '73 CJ508 Jul 2004 21:21 GMT8
I'm having problems with my alternator overcharging. It is putting out 18.46
volts. I have replaced the alternator and regulator with no change. The only
thing I can figure is the regulator is connected incorrectly. The regulator
has four wires (orange, black, yellow, and green). ...
slip yoke leak on '88 Wrangler08 Jul 2004 17:25 GMT1
I'm new to this replacing of a slip yoke gasket and just want to make sure I
do it right. I have an 88 Wrangler with an NP231 transfer case. I unbolt the
rear drive shaft and slide it out of the transfer case. Remove the cone
housing and replace the gasket. Re-assemble in reverse. ...
doors off08 Jul 2004 17:20 GMT10
Nothing beats driving a Wrangler without doors, however I have no idea
how to disable the interior door lights once the doors have been taken
off. And I don't want to risk draining my battery if I'm doorless for
more than a couple of days.
