PS Fluid for a 98 TJ?08 Jul 2004 14:08 GMT9
A friend has a 98 TJ that has a badly blown input seal in his PS box.
He doesn't know what he should be using for fluid so has been putting
ATF in it since he changed the seal a couple years ago.
The seal repair has failed and I am wondering if he should be getting a

While shopping for a intake for my jeep I keep seeing this info along with
the edelbrock ads: Dual Plane, single four barrel - off idle to 4000 RPM
What exactly does the dual plane and the rpm range mean?

Stupid question - diamond plate08 Jul 2004 01:04 GMT2
So I've seen a lot of Jeeps (and other vehicles) where people have attached
diamond plate to the body (usually to cover up rust spots).  I'd like to do
something like this to my Jeep (cheaper than replacing the body) but I
wouldn't know where to begin.  I was thinking about that ...

Wheeling Pics07 Jul 2004 22:29 GMT8
Did some rock crawling near Nictaux River NS on the weekend. Rode with
some heavily modified rigs including a YJ, an MJ, and a hardcore custom
job. Met up with a group of Suzukis in the afternoon. My moderately
lifted XJ kept up with the big rigs like a champ, but in a momentary

had continuous warping rotor issues, both front and rear. Must have had
these things replaced or machined at least a dozen times on the front and
Does me 97 Jeep TJ have ABS?07 Jul 2004 16:57 GMT2

It's Red again (fiberglass tub reconditionong)07 Jul 2004 15:50 GMT1
You may remember way back in August of 2002 when I first bought my Jeep,
I was asking a lot of questions on how to restore the color of the
fiberglass.  Well the last two years I have tried using a extra strength
boat polish which would end up looking spotty, take half a day to ...

Thanks in advance!

Maybe some of you have an idea what this is ?
My 96 Grand Cherokee has 180K miles on it.

amount of smoke in my rear view mirror.  I had the AC on.  The first
Front Axle Shifting07 Jul 2004 03:53 GMT5
My old vacuum shift motor has failed I was wondering if anyone has replaced
it with a 4x2 Posi-Lok. If so is it worth the $200 price tag?  Does it use
the factory 4wd light on the dash? Can I remove the vacuum lines coming off
the transfer case once it is installed?
90 YJ Steering Column Grinding Noise07 Jul 2004 01:43 GMT3
I have a 1990 YJ.  In the past month the steering column makes a grinding
noise, and though it sounds like it is near the steering wheel, I know it
probably is not.
Also, turning to the left and right is a bit harder - like the Power
