96 Grand Cherokee finicky power lock13 Jul 2004 23:12 GMT1
I have a '96 Grand Cherokee, recently the rear drivers side door lock
has become very finicky.  It usually takes a few tries before it
actually unlocks.  You can hear it move but it does not do anything.  It
makes the same sound as if it is already unlocked and you try to unlock

I take no responsibility for this-if your pumps, hoses, injectors
don't like vegetable products please don't tell me. Looks like a fun
hobby project especially if you have access to a pump bench.
glass body lift?13 Jul 2004 20:57 GMT6
When installing a fiberglass body on a jeep CJ - is there a 1"-2" body lift
kit available? Who makes it? I've just found the rubber mounts and the poly
body mounts I have say there can only be used on metal bodies.
8274 Solinoid Replacement13 Jul 2004 19:08 GMT5
I just replaced the solenoids on my 8274 with new ones from Advanced.  I
used a round Ford type.  They match the ones that came off exactly.....I
thought.  Now I'm questioning if they will stand up. If I take the cable all
the way out and then pull it all in, it's fine until I stop ...

Jeep to Replace a Jeep?13 Jul 2004 17:14 GMT5
I wanted to mine some information and advice from this group that has helped
me so much in the past.
I own a 93 Grand Cherokee that has been a fabulous vehicle. Now running
towards 240,000 miles, I envision a need soon to replace the lovely lady.
What are friends for?13 Jul 2004 17:08 GMT4
A friend dropped in on me while I was welding my XJ seat base... he must
have felt sorry for me. I was using garden gloves and a hand held shield
with a cracked filter (taped back together).
Today he dropped off a new Jackson HSL-100B (Blue) http://tinyurl.com/6xhkl
Ping Mike Romain13 Jul 2004 15:01 GMT2
Mike, I know you have an 86 CJ, T-5, and I know you have researched this
issue.  I have been going back and forth about which fluid to put in mine,
and finally ordered a few quarts of Redline MT.  I recently noticed in my
Haynes manual that the suggested fluid for the T-5 is "Jeep ...
Ping: Aussie/NZ Jeepers13 Jul 2004 10:29 GMT7
Looking through the internet on diesel swaps, Australia and NZ seem to
have a lot of Nissan Patrols and Toyotas but no Jeeps. Are there
Jeeps down there? And if so, is anyone dieselizing them there?
Brake Booster Update13 Jul 2004 05:11 GMT1
Well I successfully replaced both the booster and the master cylinder in my
94 GC.
It wasn't that much of a pain in the a.s except for having to do it TWICE.
After getting it all in place and bled, I went to reinstall the brake light
89' Cherokee Laredo throttle13 Jul 2004 04:55 GMT2
I have been experiencing an odd problem at complete random time right after
start up. As soon as the engines lights up the rpms hit about 2500 to 3000
while still in park with my foot off the gas. I have heard that the
throttle body may be gunked up. Can anyone possibly agree with ...
Good TJ wiper blades13 Jul 2004 02:35 GMT3
What does everyone here use for wiper blades on their TJ?  The only one's
I've been able to find in the 13" size are absolute crap.  They are rubber,
not silicone. I don't have intermittent wipers and after 20-30mins in a
rainstorm, the wipers leave black rubber stains on my ...

Sorry if this is a repeat - my PC crashed while attempting to send
this msg previously
I am about to make a cross country jeep trip and want to go without
the doors.  Does anyone know if it's legal in all 50 states + DC to
