This is a GREAT group!01 Oct 2004 19:23 GMT9
Just a pat on the back.  I've been monitoring and posting here for 2 years now
since I got interested in, then bought,  a Jeep.  For an unmoderated group, we
stay on focus amazingly well.  One of my other favorite NG's from years past
has gone completely to sh.t.

Double Clutching?01 Oct 2004 18:45 GMT31
I'm of the habit of double-clutching when driving any kind of truck,
especially when gearing down and am wondering if this is better/worse/no
difference when driving my '85 Jeep CJ7? Any opinions?

2000 TJ Shock Recommendation01 Oct 2004 16:31 GMT3
Looking for a recommendation for replacement shocks (front & rear) for a
2000TJ Sport  4.0/5speed. No lift, driving is 80% highway, 19% local, 1%
offroad (dirt roads, nothing extreme). Tires are stock 30" Goodyear Wrangler
GSA's. The original shocks provided a reasonable ride.
Look for a 90-98 Cherokee for sale01 Oct 2004 16:01 GMT5
I'm looking for a Classic body style Cherokee (XJ) for a good price (cheap).
Nothing fancy, I'm going to turn it into a trail rig.
I live in the San Jose Bay Area so keep it local if you would please.
Thanks,
Arggg!  Do I hate organic Mud! Burning CJ7 front wheel!01 Oct 2004 14:53 GMT3
Damn, I took my CJ7 for a cruise and came off the highway to a stop
light and the old smoke comes just a roaring out of the front hub.
It was as close to a bad fire as 'I' ever want to be to especially with
fiberglass inner and outer fenders!

trip, it started running rough every once in a while.  This is while I was
going about 70 MPH down I-20.  I made it back without ...
