MY GJC 97 limited recently has the ABS light on. initially, it was on and
off from time to time, or off when started, and on after a minute. now it
just stays on. I am wondering if I should take it to a dealer to check out,
or to a local garage. Does local garage have the diagnosis ...
XJ Coolant system leak04 Dec 2004 15:31 GMT11
Late last winter I had a freeze plug blow and the Jeep overheated a
bit. Since it was very hard to get to I just replaced it with a rubber
freeze plug. I dont know if that has anything to do with it, but it
seems it might.

Rear Wheel Alignment04 Dec 2004 14:27 GMT4
I am showing unusual wear on the rear wheels of my '98 TJ.  The
pattern is a saw tooth on the outer edge, noticable when rubbing your
hand from front to back (not outside to inside).  Are the rear wheels
adjustable and could the problem be fixed?
91 Grand Wagoneer Oil Change =s high oil pressure, why?04 Dec 2004 02:59 GMT3
Took my 91 Grand Wagoneer to Jiffy Lube last week for an overdue oil
change. (note  it is getting colder here in New England) I noticed
that every morning since when I start the car the oil pressure guage
is pegged at the top ("80"), after 15 to 30 minutes the guage shows a

Winch solenoids03 Dec 2004 22:09 GMT1
I need to get 3 solenoids for an old Desert Dynamics, a Ramsey worm-drive
clone.
Has anyone had good results with cheap ford-type starter solenoids?
I have found some continuous duty 200A units, but they are expensive.
OT - Riding lawn tractor help - please!03 Dec 2004 17:43 GMT4
A little off topic mechanical help is needed.

I started it the other day and everything was normal but when I turned
the ignition to the off position the engine stopped running but there
tonneau cover for wrangler03 Dec 2004 17:38 GMT4
Many years ago I had a tonneau cover for an MG.  It covered just the
cockpit, from the top of the dash to the rear of the body, with a
zipper down the center, between the seats.  Does anyone know of such a
thing for a wrangler?  I have seen "cockpit covers" but they cover the

"Best" shocks for both on/off road03 Dec 2004 15:13 GMT12
What are the most versatile shocks for a mainly on-road '02 TJ Sport? I'm
mainly looking for smooth ride, to keep the wife happy, and for our rough
country roads around here. Thanks.

Seatbelt retractor advice needed ( '01 WJ)03 Dec 2004 14:11 GMT1
Ok,  driver side seatbelt retractor is being very contrary, the last 18
inches of belt after released just hang instead of being pulled back in.
If I take and push it gently back towards the slot in the B-pillar it
will go back..

Has anyone mounted a license plate to a front Warn rock crawler bumper?  I
just put the warn on and I'm without my license plate right now.  I don't
want johnny law pulling me over for it.  Yes it is required in TX.
poll: additives?03 Dec 2004 11:09 GMT10
I'm curious what y'all think of the various additives to fuel, motor
oil, coolant, etc. Anybody use something they found was good? Bad? I
know many of them are useless. Let's hear about all of 'em.
