Drive shaft questions30 Dec 2004 15:24 GMT12
I need a new drive shaft because my old one is too short for my new project,
so how do I know if I need the double CV joint or just a regular u-joint.
Also, what price should I expect to pay for a custom made shaft? Can I use
my old one and get it lengthened?
Anyone Try The Snowsport Plow?30 Dec 2004 13:09 GMT5
Curious about the Snowsport plow. I live near Louisville, KY and we just got
pounded with snow. Happens at least once a year or so. Anybody ever tried this
plow? Any advice on plows? I have a 97 TJ automatic 6 cylinder with a 4 inch
lift running 33x12.5's. Thanks in advance!

Finally Back In The Game, with a question ...30 Dec 2004 05:19 GMT5
So I ordered and placed a down payment on my new Jeep: '05 Rubicon Auto,
Impact Orange, Hard Top. This will be number 5 over the years, and cant wait
to get back in the flow of the group. Its good to see some familiar names
still, nice to know the community is doing well.
Hilift jack questions -- don't flame me, yes it's dangerous30 Dec 2004 05:17 GMT49
Santa just brought me a Hilift jack for an early Christmas present.  If that
gives you the urge to tell me how dangerous they are and how many people
have died and how I should throw it away, please reference the subject of
the post.  I am well aware of it's uses as well as what ...
headlamp replacement method30 Dec 2004 05:02 GMT2
We bought some new headlamp assemblies (Right & Left) and we were able to
remove the old headlights.   However, we're having trouble installing the
new ones.   There are 3 sockets in the headlamp that must fit over 3 balls
that are on the top of some posts on the car.     The new ...
Basic Battery Question30 Dec 2004 04:08 GMT6
Sorry for such a basic question but... well... I'm afraid I'm not very
automotively inclined....
I've read that average battery life is 6-7 years.  My '99 Jeep
Cherokee is probably about ready for a replacement then (especially so
New 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee30 Dec 2004 03:09 GMT6

ABS light30 Dec 2004 03:05 GMT4
I recently got a 96 Cherokee Country, and seem to have a quirk in the
ABS system. I drove to Buffalo for Christmas, and when I ran through a
snowy parking lot in 4WD, the ABS indicator light came on. It did this a
few times over the weekend. Then today, I went to the car wash to ...
'01 Cherokee 60th Ann. wheel question29 Dec 2004 20:47 GMT3
Is there any specific reason why the 2001 Cherokee 60th Anniversary
Edition came with 16 inch wheels?  I was thinking about buying a nice
set of 15 inch wheels from a buddy who bought them for his Cherokee
Sport.  The lug pattern appears to be the same as on my 60th anniversary

YJ Seat options29 Dec 2004 19:42 GMT1
What make model vehicle seats would be a direct bolt-in for a YJ? I've heard
about mustang seats, but what other options have you guys heard of being
used? Personally I'd like to stick with Jeep parts, but if the price is
right, I'll use almost anything (almost - no milk crates ...
Is the 2005 X the same as the TJ?29 Dec 2004 16:55 GMT5
OK, before I get bashed, I don't own a Jeep; used to have an '89 CJ7, but
that was years ago. OK, the reason for my question. I purchased a set of
aftermarket Nerf side steps for my daughters '04 Wrangler X, but the bars
are way too long. The bracket, depending on which way you ...

I live close to Paducah, Ky. where we have about 18 inches of snow on
the ground and it is still coming down. This is the most snow that we
have ever had from one storm. I love my Jeep!
