96 Cherokee--Part-time?  Full-time?23 Dec 2004 12:08 GMT2
Hi, all...
I've had 4WD drive vehicles before, but they've all been equipped with

I have 300 miles on my '05 Grand Cherokee with the Hemi. It is hard to pin
point but it does not run right, while at steady speed with a little
throttle it bucks and thrusts. Also it vibrates. I have not taken it to the
dealer yet, maybe tomorrow. I am a heavy equipment mechanic, so ...

Be Grateful for DCX. At Least They Aren't FORD!23 Dec 2004 03:48 GMT32
Be glad, Jeep lovers, DCX and not Ford got Jeep , and FORD got some
others...too bad for them.
If Ford is so great, let them introduce their own Wrangler-like
product with horizontal and not vertical bars. Ford isn't so great. The
Lockers - front or rear?23 Dec 2004 03:42 GMT2
Saving up to add some lockers to my Cherokee.  I'll only be able to
afford one set and it'll take me some time to save for the second one
so I would love opinions as to where the first set should go...front
or rear.  Front would obviously help with getting up on obstacles, but

4.0 Head Gasket Oil Leak23 Dec 2004 01:43 GMT11
My dealer showed me an oil leak along the passenger side of the engine
and said my head gasket needed to be replaced.  He also said that DC
had redesigned the head gasket to prevent these leaks fro the oil
galleys.
Where/how to mount an inverter?23 Dec 2004 00:21 GMT1
I just purchased a little 300W inverter for use in my 97 TJ, and I'm looking
for some suggestions on how/where to mount it (I'd like it to be as
unobtrusive as possible). Ideas? Experience?
Also, what is the preferred method of wiring it? Do most people run a
Compression test question22 Dec 2004 23:46 GMT3
I want to do a  compression test on my 258 before I re-install it (I'm doing
a complete rebuild).  The engine was advertised as being rebuilt about 10K
before I bought it (I've added maybe 3k), but then again the PO also said
the frame and body were in "good shape".... (did I ...

I have a problem with my Jeep.  When driving yesterday it started to
miss.  It was much more harsh then a single cylinder missfire, when it
would miss, the passenger could hit his head on the dash.  I had to stop
several times to on the way home.
The new GC with Hemi22 Dec 2004 22:26 GMT63
I saw the new GC with the 5.7? L Hemi when my 02 GC was in for service
recently (recall on the gas tank).
Has anyone tried these out yet? The one in the showroom was decked out and
it had about a $40k sticker on it.
