While coming home from work today, my 97 Jeep Wrangler just died.  There was
no prior warning of anything.  I filled up the gas on the way home but
still, instantaneous death?  Anyway, anybody that has troubleshot

Regeared, changed the oil, when do I do it again?17 Dec 2004 20:48 GMT1
I had my TJ regeared 4.11 a while back.  I changed the differential oil after
500 miles per the mechanics instructions.  How long should I go before doing it
again?  All the gears and bearing used were brand new.

tried to limp it to the next exit on US 95 using front wheel drive only and

about half the house. :/
Humidity proof radios?17 Dec 2004 03:02 GMT7
I bought a 97 Wrangler 4 years ago and am on my 3rd stereo because I go 9
months a yr with the bikinni and duster on it.  I think its the humidity
that keeps getting to the radios - got a really nice kenwood and its flaking

Strange Blinker Issue17 Dec 2004 01:03 GMT7
My 2002 TJ is having a strange problem with its blinkers.  When ever you
turn on either the left or right blinker, it will blink normally for a few
times, then blink rapidly for a brief moment and then stop.  Any
suggestions?

Diff Oil escaping vent tube16 Dec 2004 14:43 GMT6
Just as it started to get cold I noticed that gear oil is coming out the top
of the vent tube.  It has been enough to cover my mud flap, and leave a 6"
circle on the driveway floor.  Any ideas why this would be happening now?
Approx 8 months ago I changed the fluid when I replace ...
Heated Garage or not?16 Dec 2004 14:25 GMT38
I just had the heater man out to fix my heat, and I talked to him about
adding a heat register for my garage.  He said he could probably add it for
$200-$300 and it would just use hot water returning to the boiler from any
of the other zones, so it would essentially heat a bit ...

Bah.. me battery died.16 Dec 2004 04:08 GMT15
That's what I get for leaving the back hatch slightly open.  Although
it should have had enough juice to run the inside lights just overnight. :/
Gonna have to design a shutoff circuit for that. Something in line with the
fuse that has a timer and a relay.  Or a voltage sensor.
