Morning all. I have a buddy who is looking at buying a 93 grand Cherokee, here's the details I have, followed by his questions (mainly ones I couldn't answer) 4x4, 4.0L, I6, auto. smog-tested. 216,000 km.

A co-worker of mine recently purchased a new Chrysler 300, personally I'm not that impressed with it but one thing I really like is the headlamps. They seem to give off a whiter/brighter slightly bluish light. Is there any way to replace my '89 XJ headlamps with something similar? ...

The 'ol Die Hard in my Cherokee gave up the ghost, time to upgrade. I can get a 1000CCA standard battery from Les Schwab for about 100 bux. Is it worth the extra 60 for an Optima? If I get the Optima, which is best? Red top? Blue top? Yellow top?

Sometimes, cold or warm, my 87 4.0L Cherokee idles as fast as 3,500 RPM. Pulling up on accelerator does not help. O-rings have been replaced. I was thinking of cleaning contacts on computer and cleaning the throttle body next. Any other suggestions? Anything else to clean while ...
