2000 Cherokee Sport.4L,4WD 80,000 miles.
 Every now and then my oil gauge pegs at 80 when I start the vehicle.If it
pegs when I start the car it will remain there for the entire trip .If at
startup it works correctly it will remain working the entire trip.

I think I've got a throwout bearing going - at least when it is making
racket it sounds like a dry throwout - but that's the rub: it isn't
consistant.  88 Comanche, 94 YJ clutch/ax15, external slave.  Somewhat
worse when warm (like in after a 600 mile dash last week).  Depress

I've had an urge to put a CJ 3a or M38 body on a shortened Toyota
pickup 4X4 frame & drive train.  Anyone seen one or done such a thing?
