Throwout Bearing??23 Feb 2005 04:11 GMT6
I think I've got a throwout bearing going - at least when it is making
racket it sounds like a dry throwout - but that's the rub: it isn't
consistant.  88 Comanche, 94 YJ clutch/ax15, external slave.  Somewhat
worse when warm (like in after a 600 mile dash last week).  Depress

T-86 shifter question22 Feb 2005 04:25 GMT13
This one ought to be a little different!
I understand that many early Jeeps had T-86 transmissions with floor
shifts.  My Studebaker Champ pickup also has a T-86 but it's a column
shift.  I'd love to convert this truck to a floor shift (and would
wheel/tire size22 Feb 2005 03:30 GMT9
I have a 97 TJ with no lift.  It came to me with 31x10.5x15 tires on 15x8
wheels with 3.5" of backspacing.  There was no rubbing of the tires with
this size.   My question to the group is does anyone know if I can use these
wheels and a 4" suspension lift and fit 33x12.5x15 ...
Fender Flares22 Feb 2005 03:20 GMT7
Hey all,

the minor issues.
I got rear ended awhile back, the only damage was to the passenger side
91 jeep comanche steering column question22 Feb 2005 03:14 GMT5
I have been trying to find a replacement steering column for my 91 jeep
comanche shortbed for the past several days. Most of the junkyards in my
area dont seem to have that model. Called several Crysler/jeep dealers
around my area and only one could order it. The price for it was ...
Calico22 Feb 2005 02:51 GMT8
Man, I went to Calico yesterday with the XJ and beat up some rocks. I only
left a little red paint behind. That place is great! I've never been so I
went up with a few NAXJA folks.
Also, the mines up there are amazing. They are all over. I carefully
98 Cherokee Temp Sending Unit Replacement?22 Feb 2005 01:31 GMT2
My temp gauge has begun to intermittently go to zero.  Is this a sign
that the sending unit is going out or more probably one of those bad
electrical connections these vehicles are know to have?
Where is the sending unit located?
[OT] milage tax. :/22 Feb 2005 00:26 GMT17
Just heard this unbelievable load of horsepucky
on the TV.  Places like the PRK (Peoples Republic
of Kalifornia) are mulling a tax-by-the-mile rather
than tax on the gallon of fuel.  Why?  Because folks
01 XJ 4.0L Whistle21 Feb 2005 23:15 GMT4
I have an `01 XJ 4.0L that whistles LOUD in the vicinity of the brake
booster.  It only whistles when the weather is cold (about 32 F and below)
and begins after driving for about 5 minutes.  The whistle goes away as the
throttle is opened, and gets louder as the throttle is ...

question, but here goes. My wife and I have been looking for a new car.
Final two cars in consideration are the jeep liberty and the toyota
highlander. No off roading, but we need something small, that also has ...
