I got it (Jeep, that is)14 Mar 2005 11:57 GMT2
Thanks for the previous replies to my questions.  I'm now the owner of
a 1997 (facelift) Cherokee 60th anniversary Ltd, 2 owners from new,
and 52k miles (50k by the first owner, 2nd owner had it 1 month).  It
has full main agent service history and I spoke with the main previous
Replacing D44 rear13 Mar 2005 23:56 GMT4
Well, the body shop says the accident bent my d44 case... will have to get a
new one or used one.
It took me forever to find a used d44 rear for my 01 tj.  Now I'm thinking
they will replace the case and keep my internal parts.  I'm suspecting that
Test Drive ?'s: 95 Cherokee Laredos13 Mar 2005 22:19 GMT1
I've driven a couple of these with the all wheel drive and V8 engines. They
seem to be problematic when shifting into 4x low at a dead stop either in
park or neutral; e.g. sticking and grinding. Is this normal or is there a
technique to it? TIA.
SYE recommendation13 Mar 2005 21:56 GMT4
Anyone have a recommendation on the best SYE for a 97 TJ?  I'm running the
stock transfer case/transmission and a D44 Rear.  I just installed a 4"
suspension lift and I've got some vibrations that I need to get rid of.  I
put a 1" drop on the transfer case skid but it didn't help ...
J.B Conversions Wide Chain Kit13 Mar 2005 18:20 GMT2
Does anyone have experience with the J.B. Conversions Wide Chain Kit for the
NP231?   I'm getting ready to install my Tera 4:1 and I figure since I have
the case open I'll upgrade the chain.
Thanks Doug.
K&N vs Airaid13 Mar 2005 15:17 GMT3
Does anyone have a positive or negative experience with either of these air
inake system?.  In particular on a '99 TJ.
'94 YJ Speedometer13 Mar 2005 08:07 GMT4
Our '94 YJ speedometer "jiggles" up and down when driving at steady speeds.
I assume it needs a new speedometer cable. Has anyone changed their speedo
cable? Any installation hints?

Reduced Accel around 50mph13 Mar 2005 04:06 GMT9
I'm a relative Jeep newbie, but this group has already been an
outstanding resource for me.  I have an 03 TJ 4.0L, automatic trans.
When I reach nearly 50mph, I consistently get a rattling sound and
reduced acceleration.  The acceleration becomes very sluggish, similar
89 Jeep Cherokee 4L Weird starting problem13 Mar 2005 01:53 GMT8
My Cherokee starts fine but as soon as I touch the brake pedal it kills the
engine. If  I keep my foot on the brake pedal it won't start. I tried
disconnecting the wire to the brake light switch but if I do this it won't
start. The brake lights work fine and the hazard lights work ...
Help, paint peeling off!12 Mar 2005 19:41 GMT11
I've searched this group on Google but can't find any relevant posts so
please help a newbie.
I have a 1993 Grand Cherokee and several years back I began to see
small blisters in the paint which eventually became bare spots.  Now
Rough running cj12 Mar 2005 16:22 GMT4
I have a CJ with a 232 motor with a holley 2bbl carb on topm a mister gasket
spacer. the carb is a 280 cfm. It runs rough at low speeds and when cold. it
also misses at all speeds when it rains. I think the rough  running is from
a vac leak under the carb. I'm only running a pcv, ...
2001 Cherokee - Poor gas mileage12 Mar 2005 03:46 GMT8
I have a 2001 Jeep Cherokee with 31,000 miles on it.
I really like it except that my MPG is awful... around 10/11 MPG city driving
(about 98% of my driving is in the city).
Does this sound right?
Heated seat fault - 96 ZJ12 Mar 2005 02:06 GMT5
The drivers side heated seat on my 96 ZJ has stopped working although the
passenger side works fine. I recall seeing a post a while back to the effect
that a common weak point was where the power wire connected to the seat
heater mesh as it was constantly being flexed through use ...
Re. Liberty CRD11 Mar 2005 23:56 GMT1
Anyone get a Liberty CRD yet.
I live in Toronto and there is no build date here yet but I would like to
order one. Finally a small North American diesel powered vehicle!
Thanks,
Power/Efficiency Improvements11 Mar 2005 23:38 GMT5
I've got an 84GW 5.9L V8 that's tough on gas and not real fast.  I'd
like to put a 4bbl carb on it but until then what do you recommend?
New filters etc....?
